Say what you want about the man, President Donald Trump sure knows how to control the news cycle…..
Is Donald Trump simply lampooning the Pope, saying “I could do a better job on world peace than you could?” Or is he proclaiming himself as some kind of messianic figure – even Jesus Christ? Or – something else?

Sunday night at 9:49, Truth Social – the online forum founded by Donald Trump, and still his preferred media outlet, shared the following image:
A few minutes earlier, at 9:03 PM, he had published the statement below, heavily critical of Pope Leo due to the pontiff’s anti-war statements.
Taken together, and especially the AI image appearing to liken Trump to Christ, the Truth Social posts are deeply troubling to Christians who have supported Trump for his pro-life stance and Supreme Court selections and his opposition to LGBTQ advocacy.

As a Catholic, I understand what he’s doing, but I don’t have to like the method.
You obviously don’t because Donald Trump hates Catholics. Did you read his comments on the Pope? You can just say that you don’t like abortion. Donald Trump goes against literally every core tenet of the Catholic faith and I threw up a little in my mouth when I read your comment. The cognitive dissonance of his cult members is absolutely wild.
“Love the sinner, hate the sin” was one of JC’s biggest copouts and one of those dumb things that Boomers say like “don’t speak ill of the dead” to avoid accountability.

correct me if I am wrong but aren’t we supposed to be the hands and feet of Jesus on the earth ? Called to be salt of the earth. Also called to be the light of the world (Matt 5: 13-14).
That said, not Trumps best picture, however if he has been anointed to be President (for such a time as this) that he is being led by the Spirit, to heal a nation. He is not trying to be Jesus, he is being led by HIM
It should surprise no-one that Trump is now likening himself to Jesus. This trajectory has been building for a long time. Seeing this today gave me a good laugh, but it’s tragic, of course. And dangerous.
If you simply take out who made the post, but look it at is a post of someone believing they were Christ, you would say it was from a deeply delusional person desperately in need of help.
Although I agree with a lot of what the Trump II administration is doing, this post of his is completely inappropriate. He needs to apologize for it; but since he won’t, it’s further evidence of a narcissistic personality disorder.
How soon everyone forgets. We saw this same thing with Obama. Newsweek even put him on their cover page. Don’t fall for the rage bait.
Please link to the tweet from Obama where he portrays himself as Christ. That would be a must-see.

No, not even tired of winning yet. Glad to see non- domicile commercial drivers being taken off of our roads. Chameleon carriers being investigated and put out of business. State DMV offices and officers that issue CDL licenses to people with no given name being corrected. Just a few of the wins I am enjoying.

The first thing Trump called for after launching a war he said he wouldn’t launch is to call for the overthrow of the Iranian government. Now we have another Khamenei in charge who hates America even more than the Khamenei we killed. Nice job.

Um, Donald Trump’s cuts to USAID this year have been DIRECTLY responsible for over 300,000 deaths. Another 1.6 million people have lost their health insurance since we took office. It hasn’t impacted you, so you aren’t capable of wrapping your brain around it.
I guess that if one reporter from The Times said it, then it must be true. Gee, I wonder how many would have died even with the USAID?

Chris, How is cutting aid to US Agency of Industrial Development kill 300,000 people, it wasn’t for aid but aid in building business and industries in foreign countries and Democrats kickbacks. This picture absolutely sickens me. I don’t see how anyone can think this is ok. It’s blasphemous and Trumps attempt to make us believe he was being portrayed as doctor is an obvious lie. A doctor would be shown wearing scrubs or having a stethoscope around his neck. Not a linen tunic with radiant beams coming from his hands . As a Catholic, at first I was offended. But then I realized that God/Jesus works through people. I believe God is working through Trump to pull off some accomplishments that no one else would even attempt. The hand of God was on him the day a sniper only grazed his ear. I do not like the image, but I reconsidered its intent. As for his criticism of the Pope, he has a right to his opinion of him. There are many shepherds in the Church who have sadly gone astray from its original teachings.
You know, if he wasn’t such a controversial figure, I’d say he might be the AntiChrist. He has the dictatorial vibe, but he lacks the smooth deception vibe. Good time to bone up on the coming anti christ and false prophet though. It’s sooner than some might think,
