The Biden administration’s open border policy has worsened Vermont’s drug crime and housing shortage crises.
That was one of the takeaways from a Tuesday at Two July 30 phone interview, live from Bean Studios in Northfield, conducted by Guy Page and Paul Bean with Mark Serrano, President of Proactive Communications in Leesburg, VA, a top communications advisor to the 2016 and 2020 campaigns to elect Donald Trump.
The interview follows last Friday’s live interview with Gen. Michael Flynn. With these two interviews, and more to follow with them and other leaders, VDC-TV is committed to covering how national politics and policies affect Vermont.
As a consultant to the Vermont Energy Partnership, the instate not-for-profit that fought to keep carbon-free Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant open, Serrano knows Vermont government and culture better than most greater D.C. political consultants. VDC Editor Guy Page was the communications director for the Vermont Energy Partnership from 2008-2017. In this 45 minute interview, we cover how:
1) in 2015, Serrano viewed Washington D.C. as ‘broken’ and that the GOP in particular needed an outsider candidate for president.
2) Serrano sees public opinion shaped by the Censorship Industrial Complex (media, government) on behalf of a Military Industrial Complex seeking endless wars.
3) The Harris/Biden administration’s claim that Trump ‘is an existential threat to Democracy’ is belied by its own fondness for using the law to attack political opponents and a party oligarchy to select its leaders.
4) A Trump administration would impact Vermont’s housing, drug abuse, and climate change policy challenges.

As mentioned, there are myriad reasons to elect Trump. The border/migration is one of the simplest to understand. Housing price and availability is based on the simple economic concept of supply and demand. Housing, especially affordable housing was tight all over the US over the last 20 years, and Biden’s administration let 15 million more people into the country, most of them indigent and in need of the cheapest options. When we have military veterans sleeping on the streets, this lack of sound border policy and enforcement is unconscionable.
Wait……you mean ushering in ten million more destitute, uneducated, and often addled illegal aliens made this country’s “homeless” problem WORSE???
Well, I’ll be darned. Not according to the democrats though – the Communists-in-disguise that the largely uninformed electorate will be voting in yet again come November.
Two reasons to Vote for Donald J Trump, #1) Open borders, #2) Deportation of all illegals !! Then most of the other issues will cure themselves…………………………….

DJT is helpful to Vets. I am a veteran and put my life on the line for the likes of Biden and his governing body. Yet he hates Vets. 20 Vets are committing suicide a day. I’m in the VA medical system and the VA spends more on crap than Vets. When I showed a VA bureaucrat my 1040 bottom line, he said “how can you live on that” yet they falsify my income and are allowed to deny me benefits I had before Obama and Biden got in (they hate the Military and Vets) The same bureaucrat at the same meeting also said to my face “We Are The Government And We Can Do What We Want”, I’ll never forget.
At the White River Junction VA Medical Hospital was eligible for travel pay being over 40 miles, I was 64 (128 RT) for scheduled appointments. I have documents. Did get good exams, now it check the heart, lungs, and question if any problems, in and out.. I had serious tick bites and scratched so bad all over the body and drew blood. The “Doc” said she didn’t know what it was and that was that. I showed her I had removed 196 ticks off my body and about 10-12 bites I didn’t get. If I could attach, I could paste to this, The ticks were in W. Townsend. Some kind of bacterial got into my system, not Lyme. A simple blood test might have solved the problem The “She Doc” didn’t ant a simple blood test that is not billed. There are many different bacterial problems with ticks. A fellow in MO died from a bite. It’s been 3 years now since the first itching detected, am still itching a little less, but if I don’t tak a pill, 1-1/2 days later I’ll itch. It’s in the nerve system as if an itch is on a spot on my right hand, at the same spot on the left hand will itch.
The VA will bill for services and prescriptions. I’ve gotten meds (OC) from Wally cheaper than the VA. Note the VA Med Center in Biloxi MS bought $2 million of art work for their walls. Sickening that Biden and Harris pics hang on the entrance wall. Yet some VA places didn’t hang Trump’s picture. The Bern was chair of the Senate VA Committee, what a waste. Wrote him many times about trouble and conditions. But no answer, too busy buying houses and it wasn’t media exposure. Welch doesn’t want to hear from me, Bilant (sp?) is from Germany and perhaps doesn’t know what is the USAF (or other services) Loosers all.
SUMMARY:
The VA system is the biggest bureaucracy in Government. The average salary is $90K. Most of the individuals employed have little care for Vets and are a burden. If a Vet dies, good, less work. Many Vets have died on waiting lists for over a year, ref Phoenix, Tacoma, Denver, San Fran, Atlanta to name a few. I have documentation. Many Vets are homeless, it’s in the news. The TV ads trying to help Vets is far better than the VA ads. The VA is political, the director is appointed being a friend of a Government official (Prez, etc). The lower bureaucrats are also appointed and the command chain is horrendous. and the treatment of Vets is horrendous. Trump likes Vets and the military and things were looking up given the short time in office. Then came Biden, now Knees Harris.

This is just a short expose. This is Socialist medicine. When signing in they say “Thank You For Your Service.” To me what it really means is “Thank You For Your Life Sacrifice, You Made Us A Job”. Not enough pages to continue. I served in 1958 to 1962 in the Cold War with Russia, alert duty 24/u7/365 for 3-1/2 years., Lost my hearing from jet engines. Elect Trump!!!! It seems obvious from the above comments that many folks have short memories. Regarding Trump being a threat to democracy, recall his firing his NSA director, Mike Flynn, for lying to the FBI.
The AP story from November 26, 2020:
“WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump pardoned his former national security adviser Michael Flynn on Wednesday, ending a yearslong prosecution in the Russia investigation that saw Flynn twice plead guilty to lying to the FBI and then reverse himself before the Justice Department stepped in to dismiss his case.
“It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon,” Trump tweeted. “Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!”
The pardon, in the waning weeks of Trump’s single term, is part of a broader effort by Trump to undo the results of a Russia investigation that shadowed his administration and yielded criminal charges against a half-dozen associates. It comes just months after the president commuted the sentence of another associate, Roger Stone, days before he was to report to prison.”

The comments above confirm the fact that many Americans have short memories. Regarding Mr. Serano’s claim #3 that Trump is being targeted as a threat to democracy, please recall the following from November 26, 2020:

As a Trump hater, you see the “facts” that help you rationalize your hate. The crooked Democrats began their efforts to unseat this duly elected president before he was sworn in. What those scoundrels did to Flynn and Trump, and to the country and all of us was and is shameful and despicable. I’m embarrassed that these hateful, devious tyrants are Americans.
