To our valued Sustaining Subscribers: PayPal is out, Stripe is in

Last week, I reported that PayPal, in the inscrutable, peremptory manner of Big Tech operations everywhere, had discontinued the Vermont Daily Chronicle account. Our many faithful Sustaining Subscribers were no longer able to contribute their $9/10/$20 per month. What to do?

Well, no-one every accused me of being a cyber-genius (stop laughing, Jon Lynch). But as of 20 minutes ago you can use your credit/debit card to donate monthly or on a one-time basis via Stripe.com to keep the Vermont Daily Chronicle going and growing.

If you formerly contributed through PayPal, and wish to continue online giving, please click on the big blue button below. The link with PayPal has been severed permanently, and online subscribers need to take a quick, easy minute to sign up with Stripe.

This is our mission: Vermont Daily Chronicle publishes fair, accurate, and relevant news and commentary about Vermont state government, policy and culture. Readers have never been charged for this news, and never will be. If you believe in our mission and wish to help Vermont Daily Chronicle defray our considerable software, mailing and website expenses, please become (or continue as) a valued Sustaining Subscriber.

To donate monthly on a recurring basis, or to make a one-time donation, please click on the Stripe.com “donate” button below.

If online giving isn’t your thing, checks (suggested annual contribution of $108) may be mailed to: Vermont Daily Chronicle, P.O. Box 1547, Montpelier, Vermont, 05601. Your support is not tax-deductible.

  1. Guy,
I just tried to send you $100 and filled out the entire form only to find my only option was a subscription, which I already have. RSVP?

  2. Whatever it takes, this is a case in point. Spend your money wisely by using and supporting organizations with whom you have reason to believe they’ll ‘do the right thing’. Think Bud Light, Target, Disney, etc.. Money talks.

  3. This doesn’t surprise me because I just found confirmation that PayPal, as well as many other entities, entered into an agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to censor and not support any entity that contradicts the UN COVID-19 policies, narratives or threatens its goal of achieving Pluralism, understood as “We the peoples” of the United Nations.

I prefer to make a $100 dollar donation and not subscribe monthly. How do I do this. I can also mail a check if you provide an address.
