A 2020 Tesla crashed into a telephone pole Tuesday morning in Alburg, causing a local power loss and sending the driver via helicopter to a hospital in Burlington.
At 4:22 AM, Vermont State Police and local fire personnel responded to a location along Rte. 2. The vehicle struck a telephone pole and the operator was entrapped in the vehicle. The operator, the sole occupant of the vehicle, sustained significant injury and was transported via air to the University of Vermont Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Any person who witnessed this crash is encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks at 524-5993.
