Camper fire victim identified/ Large number of guns stolen

A pair of 19-year-olds were arrested in separate, reciprocal stalking cases in Bennington County after Vermont State Police say each teenager targeted the other with harassing and threatening behavior.
Police said Emily Jean Fachini, 19, of Pownal, was arrested Jan. 25 after an investigation into reports received shortly after midnight the previous day. Troopers allege Fachini engaged in stalking behavior toward Felecia S. Davis, 19, of Shaftsbury. Fachini was processed at the Shaftsbury barracks, charged with one count of stalking, released on conditions, and is scheduled to appear in Bennington County court on Jan. 27 at 12:30 p.m.
Days earlier, Davis had been arrested in a separate incident involving the same two teenagers. According to state police, Davis was taken into custody Jan. 19 following a report of harassing and threatening behavior on Hidden Valley Road in Pownal. Troopers allege Davis stalked Fachini. Davis was released on conditions set by a judge and is due to appear in Bennington County court on Jan. 28 at 12:30 p.m.
Guns stolen – Bradford police are investigating a burglary at a residence on Cobblestone Alley in Bradford in which a large number of firearms and other items were stolen. Police said the break-in occurred sometime between 5 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 26. Investigators have not released the name of the burglary victim. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford Police Sgt. Shaffer.
Camper fire victim identified – Vermont State Police have identified the man found dead following a camper trailer fire in Sharon as Brett Novak, 58, of Sharon. Fire crews responded Jan. 25 to multiple 911 calls reporting black smoke coming from a camper on Vermont Route 14. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and located Novak deceased inside the trailer. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has listed the cause and manner of death as pending.

Several arrests for suspected impaired driving were reported across the state in recent days:
- In Barton, troopers arrested Marcel Cotnoir, 49, after stopping a vehicle and observing the driver and passenger switch seats. Police said Cotnoir showed signs of impairment and was also driving with a criminally suspended license. He was processed for DUI-5th offense and DLS-6th offense and taken to Northern State Correctional Facility.
- In Newbury, Kyle Hawksworth, 46, of Newport, was taken into custody following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 near mile marker 104. Police reported signs of drug impairment and cited Hawksworth to appear in Orange County Superior Court on March 30.
- In Enosburgh, Jason Bessette, 28, of Sheldon, was cited for DUI refusal after a crash on Grange Hall Road. Police reported no injuries.
Two separate domestic violence arrests were made in Rutland County, according to Vermont State Police:
- In Mendon, Debra White, 42, was arrested early Jan. 28 after troopers responded to a domestic disturbance and determined she caused pain or bodily injury to a household member. Police also discovered White had an active extraditable warrant from New York. She was lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility with $10,000 bail.
- In Brandon, Tammy Stanley, 44, was arrested Jan. 27 after troopers determined she caused serious bodily injury to a family or household member during a domestic disturbance on Conant Square. Stanley was held without bail and lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
