Bradford Police Department say their investigation into two January and February burglaries on Cobblestone Alley has led to additional charges against one suspect and a warrant request for another.

Police said the break-ins occurred on Jan. 26 and Feb. 4, and resulted in the theft of more than 20 firearms from a residence.

Thomasina Howard, who was originally arrested on an outstanding warrant Feb. 4, is now facing additional charges of accessory after the fact to burglary, possession of stolen property, petit larceny, and providing false information to police. Authorities said Howard was taken into custody while allegedly attempting to exchange $450 in stolen coins for cash.

Investigators have also submitted a request for an arrest warrant for Jefferey Emerson, 39, of Bradford. Emerson is already wanted on a $25,000 warrant for failure to appear in court on outstanding fentanyl trafficking and child abuse charges.

In connection with the Cobblestone Alley burglaries, Emerson is expected to face multiple charges, including burglary, grand larceny, petit larceny, possession of stolen property, and unlawful mischief.

Police are asking anyone with information about Emerson’s whereabouts to contact the Bradford Police Department, Crimestoppers, or call 911.

  1. Looking to find the restorative part of justice here. Is anybody being restored? Or are we just letting criminals and drug dealers run rampant across the state without permits to do such business no less!

    • Seems like ‘restorative justice’ here in VT is just a networking opportunity to remedy supply issues
