Michael Shellenberger, co-author of the ‘Twitter Files’, recently released the Cyber Threat Intelligence League (CTIL) files, which exposed a mass, international online censorship operation. Shellenberger testified to the House Select Subcommittee that a whistle blower provided documents detailing the Weaponization of the Federal Government, with the creation of the Censorship Industrial Complex.
“The whistleblower alleges that a leader of CTI League, a “former” British intelligence analyst, was “in the room” at the Obama White House in 2017 when she received the instructions to create a counter-disinformation project to stop a “repeat of 2016.”

Government officials from the FBI and US Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency (CISA) ran the operation under the disguise as a grass roots effort. These entities were actively spreading disinformation via phycological operations. This was a “five eyes” collaborative operation consisting of intelligence agencies representing and targeting citizenry of the U.S., Britian, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. These intelligence agencies changed their focus from working together to counteract terrorism to counteract populism, which spread via social media and resulted in the election of Donald Trump and Brexit.
Specific people worked with the U.S. Navy and U.S military contractors to promote disinformation campaigns to include Trump colluded with Russia, COVID came from a wet market and the Hunter Laptop story was Russian disinformation. According to Shellenberger, this international conspiracy aimed at discrediting and persecuting political opponents and populist movements mostly on the right.
