VTGOP approves Trump as candidate
Wednesday night the VTGOP Executive Committee by a narrow margin voted to exempt the Republican Party’s Presumptive Nominee for President, Donald J. Trump from Rule 16-1 in accordance with our state by-laws.
While the vote was split on this particular issue the Executive Committee is still in broad agreement that the state party remains focused on supporting local Republican candidates for House and Senate to push back against the Democratic Super-majority.

Mobile Mexican Consulate in Montpelier
Nearly 200 Mexicans residing in central Vermont and beyond attended the Mexican Mobile Consulate event at Christ Episcopal Church in Montpelier on Saturday, June 22. The sanctuary on State Street was transformed, with pews pushed aside to accommodate tables, chairs, and a large Mexican rug. In an adjacent hall, workers from the Mexican consulate in Boston set up computer stations to assist attendees with documents such as passports, birth certificates, and identification cards necessary for obtaining driver’s licenses.
Outside the church, the UVM Extension’s Bridges to Health program, in collaboration with the Vermont Department of Health, provided vaccinations and health checks. Food was served in the courtyard, adding to the community atmosphere.
Approximately 165 people, both pre-registered and walk-ins, participated in the day-long event organized by the Central Vermont Refugee Action Network (CVRAN). “They’ve been busy all day,” noted CVRAN volunteer Peter Thoms, praising the church’s hospitality. The consulate had set up printers and 11 computers to issue documents to any Mexican nationals in Vermont needing passports, driver’s licenses, ID cards, or birth certificates for their U.S.-born children.
Due to around 30 volunteers, this year’s event was the largest in the past five years, according to Thoms. Previous events were held at Bethany Church, which was severely damaged in the 2023 flood. The nonprofit organization Migrant Justice also played a crucial role, assisting and spreading the word about the event.

VNG’s AFFF cleanup continues

Cleanup efforts are targeting the sewage lines exiting the AASF, causing traffic delays on Shamrock Road due to increased personnel. Traffic congestion is expected to ease after today.

All AASF personnel have resumed work, but water remains off as the water lines and fire suppression room await cleaning. The investigation is now set to begin no earlier than Monday, July 1.

The fire suppression room, where AFFF was stored, remains sealed off. More updates as the situation develops.

Wednesday night the ” VTGOP ” Executive Committee by a narrow margin voted to “exempt ” the Republican Party’s Presumptive Nominee for President, Donald J. Trump from Rule 16-1 in accordance with our state by-laws.
Vermont, you have the progressive ” Stupid Majority ” and a bunch of spineless Republicans, they don’t circle the wagons in support to win, nope they run and hide, pretty pathetic and this is why the state is in the dismal state it is, save the state and vote these clowns out !!
VTGOP, you may not like it, but ” Donald J Trump ” will be the GOP Nominee across the nation, please post the names of the so-called Ex-Committee members and their voting profile on rule 16-1 !!
Wonder why very few Republicans actually get elected in this state?
The state GOP is so far out of touch with the majority of Vermonters that they are solidifying their role as a permanent minority in the legislature. Too bad.
Hello? A foreign nation was invited into a local church to assist that nation’s foreign squatters to obtain identification papers so they can receive benefits of all sorts – all for free and no naturalization process necessary. Wow! Infiltration, not invasion. The cartel is running roughshod over our communities and no one raises an eyebrow. As astounding as it is treasonous. I wonder what other countries are having processing parties in the local churches?
