Lamoille County GOP to hold BBQ July 23

The Lamoille County GOP Committee will hold a meet-and-greet for local candidates July 23 in Jeffersonville.

Just three weeks before the August 13 primary, the event will be held at Carriage House Events at 916 Rte 108s in Jeffersonville, from 5-7 pm, for a BBQ. 

A suggested donation of $24 includes food and non-alcoholic beverages. The event is BYOB. There will be music entertainment. Food is sourced from our local farms and vendors. 

Candidates include Gerald Malloy, running against Bernie Sanders; Mark Coester who will replace Becca Balint; Greg Thayer and John Rodgers who are both running for Lt Governor; H Brooke Paige who is running for Secretary of State; our Young Republican, elected VTGOP Committeeman, Josh Bechhoeffer, running for the Vermont Treasurer position and other Lamoille county seat runners. 

Northfield Town Republicans to host former State Sen. John Rogers

The Northfield Town Republican Party will be hosting former State Senator John Rodgers on Thursday, August 8th, from 7-8 PM as he seeks the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor. This event will be in the Brown Public Library Community Room, at 93 S. Main Street in Northfield, with doors opening at 6:15 PM.

John Rodgers spent 16 years in the State Legislature, split evenly between the State House and State Senate. While Rodgers served in the State Legislature as a Democrat, he was known for his bipartisan beliefs and being able to work across the aisle. In the legislature, he was a staunch defender of gun rights, a supporter of blue-collar workers, and an advocate for personal
