After extensive investigation, Vermont State Police have arrested Jonathan Rau, 40, of Sharon for an alleged incident occurring on December 3, 2024.

Police arrested Rau on January 8 on two counts of aggravated sexual assault, voyeurism, soliciting prostitution, attempted obstruction of justice, and providing alcohol to a minor. He is also alleged to have filmed some of the acts.

Rau is a registered sex offender.

Rau was held without bail and appeared in the Criminal Division of the Orange County Superior Court on January 9, where he pleaded ‘not guilty.’ This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police at 802-234-9933.
