Governor Phil Scott announced today vetoed H.489, the latest fiscal year 2025 Budget Adjustment Act.
Gov. Scott vetoed a previous BAA over the inclusion of $1.8 million in more spending for homeless hotels. He has since extended homeless hotels funding through June 30 by executive order, but for a smaller number of clients than provided for in the vetoed BAA. budget adjustments. His veto letter states:
Pursuant to Chapter II, Section 11 of the Vermont Constitution, I’m returning H.489, An act relating to fiscal year 2025 budget adjustments, without my signature.
It’s clear, we’re at an impasse on a non-budget adjustment-related policy, which has once again, been included in the latest budget adjustment bill. However, nothing prevents us from moving forward with a traditional bill, where we agree on the majority of the mid-year financial true ups.
I’m hopeful, the Legislature will stop sending me bills they know I will veto and instead send me a clean budget adjustment bill without controversial policy, so we can move forward with the many challenges we face.

Another display of ceremony and sanctimony. The stiff, roaring winds of economic calamity are unfolding as predicted for early April. The Fed shrugged, the barnyard talking heads are squawking and cawing as their collective feathers erupt on fire, and the depopulation, wealth transfer and global reset is well underway.
Word has it that $10 Trillion has disappeared out of the market? Who cleaned up? Where did it all go? Where was Congress? They took a week off? What is going on? There are some who know, but they ain’t spilling the beans – they’re not done cooking the books.
Seems eerily familiar when Bush handed off the burning bag of dung to Obama – then the market tanked, the hidden recession revealed with vengence, and they bailed out the banks, let one fall under the bus, and started it all over again. Best be prepared…we are in the final Acts of treasonous billionaire thievery and debauchery. It don’t matter which side of the fence – the fence is being obliterated.
