U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has accused President Donald Trump of failing to fulfill a campaign promise to release the documents related to the Jeffery Epstein case.
In a video posted on X early Tuesday morning, Sanders demanded transparency and urged Trump to “do what you promised” regarding the Epstein files.
Last week, the Trump administration, through the U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, requested the unsealing of grand jury transcripts related to Epstein, a move that has faced mounting pressure from Trump’s own supporters, as reported by BBC News on July 19, 2025.
However, a Justice Department memo released earlier this month concluded there was no evidence of a client list or blackmail materials, contradicting earlier statements and intensifying the political fallout, according to Newsweek on July 15, 2025.
“I have no idea what is in the Epstein files, who was in the Epstein files or whether or not these files actually even exist. But I do know Jeffrey Epstein was an extremely wealthy guy, who hung out with some of the wealthiest and most powerful people in our country, including Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, multiple billionaires, and Donald Trump,” said Sanders in the video.
“This I do know,” he continued. “During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump said very clearly that he would release the Epstein files. My response Mr. President? Do what you promised. The American people we were due and stop trying to deflect attention away from a promise. Be transparent, the way, You promised it would be. Tell the truth like you promised.”
Sanders’ video not only focuses on the Epstein files but also focuses on his critique on what he says are President Trump’s broader policy failures.
He specifically targeted the 2017 tax law, which Sanders claims was skewed to benefit the wealthy and failed to deliver promised economic benefits. “He promised that his ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ wouldn’t touch Medicaid. Instead, it will take away Medicaid from 17 million Americans so he can give $1 trillion in tax breaks to the top 1% and $900 billion to the corporate world,”
“Too many Americans have fought and died to defend freedom and democracy, to defend the First Amendment and the right to dissent. That is what makes America great,” Sanders asserted, concluding with a resolute stance on maintaining a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people,” not one run by “billionaire oligarchs.”

Why are the Democrats screaming so loudly about immediately releasing the Epstein information without waiting for Court OK? Developing another impeachment senecio? Dems had four years of controlling the files and didn’t even think of releasing them, even when looking for reasons to prosecute Trump, did they burry false information in the file, like they created the now proven false Steele dossier they used for investigations and impeachment which was really created and paid for the the Clinton camp and USAID? Or to cover for the treasonous behavior just declassified, that occurred during that time period?
Perhaps Bernie would like to comment on his fondness of the voodoo doughnut shop and it’s symbolic, ritualistic logos that oddly match up to an FBI bulletin? Maybe that was all made up too – funny how what was reported 10-15 years ago on main scream[sic] media, by the Department of Justice, and within the US court system is somehow just all conspiracy theory. Whatever happened to Chuck Todd’s (NBC news) report about that investigtation into State Department shenigans and the Clinton Foundation? Amy Robach’s (ABC news) hot mic moment? What is this about the Congressional ethics fund paying out claims for naughty members and their naughty acts? Good cop/bad cop – the scripts keep getting flipped and the American people get bamboozled, hoodwinked, and fleeced.

Federal Judge just refused request to unseal their documents so they could be released
Not just a Federal Judge, Ron.
“Florida-based US District Judge Robin Rosenberg, an Obama appointee, said the DOJ failed to justify unsealing the records related to grand juries in West Palm Beach in 2005-2007.”
Bernie Sanders and the democrat/progressives can’t let the Epstein case be publicized because when the Epstein case is made public, they won’t be able to claim that alleged treasonous actions by Obama and his intelligence team are a mere diversion to obscure the Epstein case.
And it’s not just Judge Rosenberg.
US District Judge Paul Englemayer, also an Obama appointee, also responded to the DOJ’s request to unseal grand jury records. Englemayer also said he needs more information before he unseals grand jury transcripts. Here’s his list of demands.
• The identity of the party seeking disclosure
• whether the defendant to the grand jury proceeding of the Government opposes the disclosure
• why disclosure is being sought in the particular case
• what specific information is being sought for disclosure
• how long ago the grand jury proceedings took place
• the current status of the principals of the grand jury proceedings and that of their families
• the extent to which the desired material — either permissibly or impermissibly – has been previously made public
• whether witnesses to the grand jury proceedings who might be affected by disclosure are still alive; and
• [whether there is an] additional need for maintaining secrecy in the particular case in question
And Judge Englemayer asked for a detailed explanation from the Justice Department related to Maxwell’s grand jury transcript material by July 29, less than a week from now.
You can’t make this stuff up…. unless, of course, you happen to be a Democrat Obama apologist.
One of the things I find encouraging about this whole Trump/Epstein thing is that MAGA in general wants the truth to come out, no matter who it reflects poorly on. Which goes to show that it’s not a cult, as is so often accused, but a movement that admires and appreciates but does not unthinkingly venerate its leader. The country is bigger than anyone, Trump knows this, and so do his voters.
Bernie- Why don’t you tell Bill Clinton to “Be Transparent” about his relationship with Epstein. You should tell Hillary to Be Transparent with her involvement with the dossier and Obama’s dirty tricks to delegitimize President Trump’s first term.
You were complicit with it because you might have been angry with Hillary for pushing you out of the democratic primary with those super delegates but you said NOTHING about how Obama set up the whole Russiagate with the help of the cia, fbi, Biden and Hillary paying for the dirty dossier. And the legacy media swallowed it hook, line and sinker and tried crucifying Trump with impeachment after impeachment thru his first term. If they got awards for their reporting they got them illegitimately and they need to return them. This should be exposed and never happen again!!!!

Hillary doesn’t have immunity-She destroyed 33000 emails lots of them top secret and destroyed her phones, blackberries iPads and any other devices she was using to perform government business on her personal email server in her bathroom!!! Maybe she can’t be charged with that because of Comey but She paid for a completely made up salacious dossier when it was her who was working with the Russians and not Trump.
