State’s Attorney Sarah George infuriated that police released name of teen driver who crashed head-on into couple’s car

A teenage driver fined $220 for her part in a double-fatal car crash that killed an elderly Addison County couple in September 2020 in Charlotte is among those arrested at an anti-Israel encampment at Columbia University last week.
And the family of the two dead victims still aren’t happy that Isabel Jennifer Seward of Atlanta, Ga. never went to prison for crossing the double line and killing family members.
Public records show Seward, then 16, — whose father William J. Seward, was a longtime high-ranking executive at UPS — received a Vermont civil traffic ticket for an offense listed as “driving on roadways laned for traffic” in the double fatal crash, Vermont News First reported at the time.
Seward’s mother later paid the $220 fine for her daughter, court records show.
The family of the dead couple – Chet Hawkins, who was a longtime town official in Ferrisburgh, and his wife, Connie – are furious that Seward was never seriously held accountable for killing the elderly couple, according to news accounts.
“The only reason she wasn’t charged with murder is because she has a rich daddy. She should be behind bars,” The New York Post quoted Eve Taylor, a niece of the victims, in its Sunday edition.
Seward, who had been visiting her grandfather, a doctor in Charlotte, was a two-sport athlete at Paideia, an exclusive private school in Atlanta.
Attempts to reach the family members through their lawyer before deadline were unsuccessful.
Seward provided at least three conflicting stories about her cellphone leading up to and after the crash near Church Hill Road on Sept. 8, 2020, according to the Vermont State Police accident report.
A driver trailing Seward captured the crash on video, police said. It showed her in a Toyota Tacoma crossing the double yellow line and crashing the small truck into the Hawkins car as he tried to pull as far right into the breakdown lane to avoid the crash.
Instead of filing two felony criminal charges of careless and negligent driving with death resulting, Chittenden County State’s Attorney Sarah George directed Vermont State Police to issue the teen the civil ticket, records show.
George, it turned out, was apparently more upset with the Vermont State Police for releasing the name of the teen-age driver, according to an email obtained by Vermont News First through a public records request at the time.
George wrote in an email to one of her deputies, “Unbelievable — why on earth would VSP not have contacted their freakin general counsel BEFORE releasing the name!??!”

Sarah George was more upset over the girl’s name being revealed by police than a couple being killed by her! The girl’s mother paid a couple hundred bucks for a fine. ENOUGH BS! SARAH GEORGE NEEDS TO GO AND THAT GIRL, NOW ADULT, NEEDS TO DO TIME!!
I do hope the Hawkins family lawyered up and filed a large civil suit against Seward – deep pockets to be tapped and one remedy to hold the white privileged brat to account.

By now, people should be aware of the number of people Soros funded through Open Societies/ActBlue to install the most repugnant, belligerent attorneys into places they can work diligently to bring down the USA. The power of all that Soros money is nothing compared to the power of the voters of Chittenden County to send her packing, which we have had the opportunity to do…TWICE, and failed. The power of liberal virtue signaling inexplicably extends even into the private confines of the voting booth. Liberalism is a mental disorder, and a case like this is a good example of the manifestation of that malaise.
Another tragic example of Sarah George’s depraved moral turpitude was the recent release of Gregory Fitzgerald, who was sentenced to LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE in 1993 for the vicious strangulation of his wife to collect insurance money. Fitzgerald reached a deal last year with Sarah George that qualified him for “community release”, devastating her surviving family and robbing them of their closure in the matter. Anyone who voted for Sarah George really owes the rest of us an explanation of how they found the motivation to support this horrible human being.
Vote the party line or die syndrome serves only the selected contenders and the coporation for which they serve. Remember Biden said – it is not who votes, it’s who counts the votes. Now voting is so contaminated and corrupt it doesn’t matter anymore and hasn’t for quite a few cycles now. How many times do we here the most important election of our lifetime only to get shafted no matter who get’s in the seats. We also don’t vote for judges on the bench who protect their own interests and that of their associates.
The justice system under Sarah George just proclaimed that Chester an Connie Hawkins lives were worth only $220 dollars.
All I can say is that these poor people were white, baby boomers, and not young radicalized revolutionaries, which means they are dispensable.
This girl was driving a car without an adult with a learner’s permit from Georgia. Her mother paid her $220 fine. I think that Chet and Connie’s lives were worth much more than that fine. She has never been brought back to Vermont to stand trial for 2 charges for vehicular homicide. But, Hey rich summer people get off scot free. This chick is now screaming from the river to the sea. For all she knows it is the Winooski River to Old Orchard Beach🤷♀️🤷♀️. I think her punishment for supporting a terrorist organization and killing two people who did much for their town, should be to go to Gaza, live with the people who support these terrorists and made to stay there for 10 yrs!! It’s unbelievable that Vermont justice has come to this “killing two still active and productive Vermonters by a 16 year old out of stater who has only a learners permit and no other adult supervision in a truck that was used as a lethal weapon killing the couple. The couple even tried avoiding the collision but she followed them and plowed right into them killing them. And all she got was a 220.00 fine??? This is not justice. Yes the Hawkins family needs to find a very good lawyer and file a very large civil suit against the sewards for wrongful death of their loved ones and maybe should include George in the lawsuit for trying to coverup the accused person’s name. She blamed the state police for a coverup she was procuring. And because this Seward girl was recently arrested as being part of the anti-Israel, anti-American protesters at Columbia University, it stands to reason that the progressives are involved deeply in the
organizing and orchestrating the protests at the ivy schools and other schools. AOC had just said that the students were “peacefully protesting” which is untrue because, in fact they were calling for death to Israel and Americans and students and police have been injured. If the progressives are behind everything then it stands to reason Soros, TikTok China are involved too. There are a lot of deep pockets out there—go deep, good luck and give justice to Chester and Connie.
You discredit yourself by spreading such blatant lies. Very little of the pro-palestinian movement has anything good to say about Hamas. They care about the people of Palestine, not their leaders. At this point i see few leaders in that land that are not either blood soaked or corrupt. The Israeli gov has blood on it’s hand and war crimes as does Hamas and the Palestinian authority are just money grubbing corrupt leaches.
Let me say Dis Gusted that I disagree and agree with your assessment of Palestine. I investigate thoroughly a subject before I write anything so I don’t misquote. I’ve personally heard the protestors at Columbia say that they were Hamas, all-Hamas! Sounding proud of it. If they were pro-Palestinian why aren’t they vilifying Hamas? Why wouldn’t they allow Fox News cameras to film them and talk about their demands? There were other news outlets, other cameras there, so why exclude Fox News? It’s because this whole scenario is being carefully scripted by I believe not just the progressives but some very wealthy donors. I heard in the news that TikTok was instructing people on where to go, what to do. I didn’t make this stuff up!!!
I feel bad for the Palestinians. Ask yourself why are the Palestinian’s allowing hamas to use them as human shields? Every time Israel goes into Gaza the Palestinians are being killed. Hamas is allowing this to happen and I don’t believe any of those hostages from last October are still alive, maybe?? I just saw on Fox News that policemen were hurt in Boston at one of the colleges with demonstrators, one in critical condition, peaceful protesters??? I think NOT!!!
