Pro-Life Lobby Day
State House ~ Montpelier
Pro-lifers from across the state will be coming to the State House to advocate for passage of legislation entitled: An act relating to crimes against an unborn child. (H.779 & S. 276)
Find the legislation here.
Patrica Blair is the mother of twins killed in utero by an impaired driver who faced no legal consequences for their deaths. The 2009 Vermont case captured statewide media attention.
However, the legislature refused to consider proposed legislation that would have established penalties for those who cause the death of an unborn child while engaging in criminal activity. Similar legislation has been introduced again in the Vermont legislature.
Patricia (Trish) has recorded a special message for participants and vows to help continue the fight for justice for other families whose unborn babies are killed by the criminal actions of another.

May God bless those in attendance.
There will be opposition to this rally, so has anyone else noticed that over half of the pro-abortion protestors are dried-up non-fertile women, or they could stop an eight-day clock, reproduction isn’t happening in either case…………… sorry, but true !!
These clowns think abortions are a smart move, this shows how feckless fools they are, if you don’t want children there are plenty of means to prevent it from happening other than killing the unborn …………. how pathetic.
Vermonter’s better wake up
I’m pretty moderate on abortion but I do often notice that pro-abortion protesters tend to be women are not very likely to need abortions, for various reasons.
@Jack
As I said to the other guy I’ll state the same to you…Rather then run with what you THINK this was about, try reading it!!
Realize that any aspersions you continue to cast against women can just as easily be cast against men in similar fashion, as I write below.
It appears so many attend church on Sundays, but not very many heed the word of the Lord which is disseminated there.
@CHenry
Rather then run with what you THINK this was about, try reading it!!
It doesn’t sound as though either of you fella’s have likely ever attended the annual March For Life Rally to end abortion in D.C. as I have. If you had, you would have known that thousands of both males and females of all ages and “appearances” march to help bring an end to the evil of abortion. In opposition to that, are the “pro-choice” counter protestors who also comprise groups of both males and females of all ages and “appearances” who obviously believe that the deliberate act of murdering your own child in utero is perfectly acceptable.
Though abortion is an ultimate evil, other offenses and abominations include the mocking and the denigration of women – based upon outward appearance and/or age. It is but a reality & fact that all human beings grow old and referring to women as “dried up” or “non-fertile” is disgraceful & detestable. Shall we similarly refer to aging men as “flaccid”, “gelded” or “emasculated”? Shall we call aging men “grotesque” or “hideous” since they no longer retain their once youthful appeal – for “various reasons”, as you describe. ……”sorry but true” !!
Or instead, perhaps we might be sophisticated enough to realize that since it “takes two to tango” in order to create new life, we might instead demand that males accept equal responsibility for utilizing birth control to prevent pregnancy.
Perhaps we might also possess enough intelligence to know that individuals of either sex can be rendered “non fertile” due to medical conditions or advanced age – and therefore not use infertility as a means to degrade others?
While abortion is an egregious sin against our Creator, another great sin against God is to dishonor women, for throughout His ministry, Jesus elevated the status of women – for as it was written: “In the image of God He created them, male AND female He created them.
@Kathleen J Gaffney
I’m not a “pro-lifer” but I am a “pro-reader” and it’s obvious these men didn’t bother to read what it was about.
But they seem to think it’s a great opportunity for them to denigrate & demean & belittle women in general, so they just go with it. They are eternally bitter & infuriated over divorces, they accept no responsibility for their part in these divorces, some claim to attend church regularly, yet they hold nothing less than contempt for half of the congregants there simply because of the sex assigned to them by the very God who they supposedly venerate.
They’re to be pitied, I realize. Yet in light of their disgusting sexist comments & the fact that they are invariably tolerated on VDC despite supposed prohibitions in place, I feel compelled to have them understand that women are more than capable of responding in kind. An eye for an eye, so to speak, in order to have them know that women aren’t necessarily going to retreat from their vicious attacks every time.
Ahhh, the usual emotional feminist tropes trotted out to silence men.
Firstly, women mock men for their appearance all the time. Ask a 5’ 6” man how often he has been laughed at for his height. Criticism of Donald Trump based on his appearance is witty and urbane, but gibes about Hilary’s appearance are treated as strictly off limits.
You are right that men and women are treated differently when it comes to taking responsibility for pregnancy. A pregnant woman can use a morning after pill or she can choose to abort the baby. Alternatively, she can decide to have the baby and drag the man through the courts for child support for the best part of two decades. Men get no say in any of this.
I hope you are right that men can get access to a reliable male contraceptive pill one day in future. Imagine giving men the same ability to control their fertility as women. I guarantee you that every man would buy these pills and would have their teenage sons take them throughout their college years and into their early 30’s.
There is little or no possibility that any such pill would be approved, sadly. As it would cause birth rates to plummet to almost nothing and strip women of their power to destroy mens’ lives.
You don’t want to reproduce? Stay celibate or use birth control – you don’t need any pill. You need a packet of over-the-counter products that are given free of charge to anyone who asks for them in VT public schools beginning in 6th grade. If you’re not familiar, go speak to the closest 11- year-old you can locate & have them explain it to you.
And since men commit over 90% of all the violent crime in the USA as per FBI/DOJ statistics, I’d state that there would be nothing more advantageous to society as to have men’s power & authority diminished so as alleviate the chronic suffering, the wars, the violent crime, & murder their specific sex is alone responsible for causing.
