Police are investigating two separate incidents at Walmart in recent days, including an alleged indecent exposure and a dispute that led to a woman pouring soda on another woman.

On February 13, officers were advised of suspicious activity at the Berlin Walmart just before closing. A female employee reported that a male customer allegedly exposed himself in one of the aisles before leaving the store. The individual then departed in a vehicle, but no description of the vehicle was available.
The Berlin Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man depicted in surveillance images. Police said the photos are being shared for informational purposes only and apologized for their quality. Anyone who recognizes the individual is asked not to post names in public comments, but instead to contact the department privately during business hours at 802-223-4401.
In a separate incident at the same store on February 15, Berlin Police responded to a reported citizen dispute. Following an investigation, officers determined that Kellyne Witte allegedly intentionally poured soda on another female during the altercation.
On February 16, officers located Witte at her residence in Barre City. Police say Witte provided a false written statement while speaking with officers. She was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court on March 26 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.

Derby assault arrests
In an unrelated case, Vermont State Police responded at approximately 1:30 a.m. on February 16 to a reported assault at a residence on 4H Road in Derby.
During the investigation, troopers determined that Dakota Pavelchak, 22, of Derby, had caused pain to a household member. Pavelchak was arrested and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing, and later lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility for lack of $500 bail.
In a separate February 16 incident also in Derby, troopers received a report of an assault on 4H Road. Investigation revealed that Grace Pavelchak, 19, of Derby, allegedly assaulted 18-year-old Abbygale Costa of Derby and brandished a knife during the altercation. Grace Pavelchak was taken into custody, processed at the Derby Barracks, and later released with a citation to appear in court.
Credit card fraud investigation
Troopers are also seeking the public’s help in identifying two individuals connected to a credit card fraud investigation.
On February 1, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Rebecca Averill reported losing her wallet earlier in the day while shopping at Shaw’s in Derby. Investigators later learned that two individuals attempted to use Averill’s credit cards to make purchases at a local restaurant. Surveillance footage has been obtained, and state police are asking anyone with information about the individuals shown in released images to contact the Vermont State Police at 802-334-8881.
Randolph domestic assault
On February 16 at approximately 3:39 p.m., troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to a reported dispute between two parties at a business on VT Route 66 in Randolph.
Investigation determined that Kristie Young, 43, of Randolph, had allegedly committed the offense of domestic assault. Young was arrested, transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing, and later released with a criminal citation to appear in court. As is standard practice, the Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims in cases involving domestic violence.
