  1. See you are resorting to comedy, call out US Senators to encourage them to vote FOR the Save America Act, those two communists will be throwing a party if it is defeated.

    • Three – we don’t have anyone who represents we the people it’s only what they want. The three worst reps we could possibly have.

  2. I’ll probably get a form letter back about a completely different subject, but, Done !

  3. You should worry more about saving America while the Epstein war is going to make you go broke. Just waiting for the six dollar gas and hyper inflation on the cost of all products. Iran has no intentions of allowing the Epstein Group controlling them. Now, how many deaths are there in Israel now, with all of this bombing?????

  4. Excellent piece Nancy Gassett. Thank you for this valvable infromation.

I think some here are missing Nancy’s points. We all understand how the three Vermont elected clowns in DC will vote, but it is PARAMOUNT that they hear from us, Vermonters, the people, We The People.

Please call them today. Also, share with your family and friends to call them too.

Additionally, there are a lot of good people working on Election Integrity across Vermont and Nationally, but cannot do it alone, “We The People” can affect change working together and stepping up for what is Right!

Please accept Nancy invitation and Sign the “Citizens Pledge” on the “Election Integrity Network’s”website at http://www.SaveAmericaActCoalition.com

    Thank you,

    Gregory M Thayer, MBA
    Rutland, Vermont

  5. Done, done and done. No exuse for this not to be law, especially when the overwhelming majority of the country supports it. Ignoring the majority as a representative is despicable and inexcusable.

  6. That depends. Is this new voter ID digitally based? Is there an on-ramp in the bill to eventually put this ID on people’s phones (you know, the tracking devices everyone carries in their pockets)? If so, NOPE.

  7. I have been able to vote in Vermont without a passport, or certified birth certificate or certified marriage license for 56 years. For the last 39 years I have been able to vote from a checklist in the town where I live. I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO PAY AND JUMP THROUGH HOOPS OF PAPERWORK TO VOTE!!!! The percentage of illegal voters is less than one quarter of one percent! Common sense says that since people, including children of color, are being kidnapped, that anyone of color would go near any polling place in the fall. Unfortunately legitimate citizens are going to be too scared to vote or denied their constitutional right due to cost and logistics. The Save Act is just another way to empower the rich and take away the rights of women and people of color. I’m thankful for intelligence and integrity of Sanders, Welch and Balint for trying to secure my right to vote without having to pay.

  8. Got my three replies back from VT’s Congressional delegation:
“There are no illegal citizens voting in our elections.
We have existing laws that prevent it.
There are no significant voter fraud.
This SAVE Act will only disenfranchise women, seniors, and blacks (apparently)”

  9. The SAVE act is a violation of the 24th Amendment, plain and simple. Any money that I have to spend to vote is a poll tax and requiring a passport in lieu of a birth certificate will not hold up in court. Also, 83% of Americans, support PIECES of the SAVE act, so this ad is somewhat disingenuous.

If we actually cared about our civic duty, we would have a system similar to Australia or make Election Day a Saturday, but then again we probably also wouldn’t be $40 trillion dollars in debt if people actually cared.

    • So, you live in such a way as to not require identification for anything, and therefore this burden of a government-issued proof of citizenship is an undue burden? How did you get hooked up with a data provider to comment here? How did you pay for membership to VDC’s onerous $108/ year requirement to comment? Did you meet Guy in Montpelier or an undisclosed location and give him $108 in cash?
If you can pull it off, congratulations.
      Otherwise…..

    • Then why do I have to produce an ID to purchase a firearm. If I do not have an ID to purchase it doesn’t that violate my 2nd Amendment right. The sword cuts both ways.

    • Fellas, I’ll keep this brief. Personally, I don’t like whataboutism. Tyler, you don’t need gov’t ID to comment here and what does that have to do with the SAVE act? The financial piece of an Enhanced ID or Passport is the undue burden. The Constitution clearly prohibits the Federalization of voting laws as well just to pile on.

James, I referred to the 24th Amendment, not the 2nd. There is nothing in the Constitution regarding the process of acquiring firearms like there is voting. The sword in fact does not cut both ways even though you want it to.

Seems to me that both of you just don’t like the statement, “The SAVE act is a violation of the 24th Amendment, plain and simple.” which again, isn’t my opinion, it is a fact. Unless you can refute this statement (or anyone), I’m not really sure what either of you are saying.

Unless the government is going to provide passports and Enhanced ID’s similar to birth certificates, then this law is a violation of the 24th Amendment. That’s not my opinion, that is a fact. In fact, I didn’t give any opinions, even though the SAVE Act is clearly an attempt at voter suppression. None of this bill was thought out well at all because Republicans tend to vote by mail more (which is banned) Republicans are also WAY less likely to have a passport than libs. If this is passed, I can see a ton of people disenfranchised on both sides, because if everyone voted we wouldn’t be $40 trillion dollars in debt shooting missiles everywhere.

  10. I’ll call two of the Senators listed but it seems to me calling two other Senators listed would be comparable to urinating into the wind.

All topics and opinions welcome! No mocking or personal criticism of other commenters. No profanity, explicitly racist or sexist language allowed. Real, full names are now required. All comments without real full names will be unapproved or trashed.
