Police use flash-bang grenades

CONVENTRY – Three Springfield, Mass. teen-agers are facing felony charges of both aggravated assault and assault and robbery with bodily injury after they reportedly attacked two Northeast Kingdom residents on Sunday, Vermont State Police said.
Randall Davis, 19, Mohamed Hussein, 17, and Jadis Arnold, 16, all of Springfield, Mass. were arrested after a massive manhunt along Vermont 14, Spencer Hill Road, Blake Road, Hancock Hill Road, Maple Ridge Road in Coventry, police said.
The three teens are all due in criminal court on Monday after the Orleans County State’s Attorney’s Office decided they should be treated as adults for their dangerous misconduct, state police said.
They were ordered jailed overnight without bail: Davis at the Northern State Correctional Facility in Newport; Hussein and Arnold at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in St. Johnsbury, police said.
The injured crime victims were identified as Keith Jacobs, 42, of Coventry and Herbert Jacobs, 72, of North Troy, police said.
State troopers, along with law enforcement officers from Newport Police, Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office, and the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Warden Division combed the area for more than 3 hours to make the arrests.
State Police Patrol Sgt. Daniel Lynch outlined the following sequence of events:
The state police barracks in Derby received a report of a dispute involving firearms, possible shots fired, and a person who had been injured at a residence on Spencer Hill Road in Coventry about 12:50 p.m.
Upon arrival, troopers encountered the victims, who were suffering from non-life-threatening injuries sustained from an assault including being struck by firearms. While there was evidence of gunshots fired, troopers determined no one had been struck. It was also reported that several of the victims’ firearms had been stolen during this assault.
Simultaneously, information from the public was received that three suspects, armed with several firearms, had fled in the direction of an occupied nearby residence on Blake Road. Law enforcement converged on the area.
Hussein was quickly found in a riverbed and taken into custody by a Game Warden, Newport officers and state police.
Arnold was also located, but refused commands to stop and fled into a wooded area toward Hancock Hill Road. Specialized State Police units including the Tactical Services Unit, Unmanned Arial Systems Unit, and K9 units responded to the area to help with the search. Vermont 14 in the area of the incident was shut down while local residents were directed to shelter in place.
Throughout the afternoon, law enforcement searched for the remaining two suspects and responded to sightings, locating several firearms including loaded semi-automatic rifles and handguns during their search.
After several K9 tracks by both state police and Newport Police and foot pursuits by searching officers, Arnold was taken into custody in the area of Nadeau Park Road.
Davis was taken into custody in the area of Maple Ridge Road without incident and with the assistance of all agencies involved by about 4:30 p.m.
All three wanted suspects were transported to the state police barracks in Derby for processing and ordered held without bail pending court.
Loud flash bangs heard by members of the public were nonlethal devices deployed by troopers in an effort to make arrests. No gunshots were fired, Lynch reported.
The incident is believed to be isolated to the parties involved, and all persons involved have been identified and accounted for, police said.

These dirtbags will most likely be back on the street by high noon today.
So many Vt’ers on V.D.C. exclaiming how they aren’t going to take any of this anymore, yet every day you do take it and you do accept it. Where are the organized protests? Where is the GOP with their funding of candidates, their regular state-wide mailings, their press conferences? Where are the waves of letters to the editor that r inundating state press offices? Where are all the average outraged parents running for local seats on town councils and on school boards? Where r the citizens protecting themselves, their families, and their neighbors with their Constitutional Carry firarms??? Screw Vermont’s lack of “stand your ground” type laws – you HAVE the US Constitutional right to bear arms and INALIENABLE RIGHT TO SELF-DEFENSE!!!!!!!
Buy some Concealed Carry Insurance or something!
There is a lot of anger in Vt. There is little backlash. There is hardly any challenge, and when it does happen, it fizzles faster than a sparkler on a hot nite in July. Meanwhile, the democrats are still actually PAYING people to post on sites & to concoct letters & to stage faux protests! Apparently, propaganda pays off!
Even with all the massive damage the demented Biden & regime has had on the country overall- the unfettered illegal immigration, the Chinese virus that murdered over a million, the ruination of the public school system, the prosecutors who won’t prosecute anyone but Trump, etcetera – Biden is, at least according to most polling organizations, averaging ONLY about ONE PERCENT behind Trump in the presidential race.
ONE PERCENT of Americans are so far standing between you and Communism!!??
So? most everyone is actually accepting this thru continued silence, avoidance, and lack of sheer impetus and coordination and effort.
And it’s because of that that nothing will change, Vt. will be destroyed, and the USA will fall. Hard to hear, I gets your ire up? Now what r u going to do about it — other than shooting the messenger?
Joan, the explanation is simple. The Vermont Republican Committee refuses to endorse electable candidates. I can rationalize committee officers are card carrying progressives effectively undermining all viable candidates via a proven, losing platform. I will be at their July rally calling they out, face to face.
What are you running for? Schoolboard? City council? the House? Senate?
Obviously all seventh generation Vermonters. What a fine looking collection of America’s best and brightest.
Stephanie Seguino…. Where are you? Diversity rocks!!
Obviously the various State agencies and Orleans County have been investing their money well in promoting and encouraging tourism from southern New England. It’s not just the Jazz Festival, Pride events and the usual summer festivals hosted in Burlington but the tourists from Massachusetts mill towns are also visiting some of the more rural pockets of northern Vermont and bringing racial and cultural diversity for all of us to immerse ourselves in and take pride about! It’s so nice to see people from such diverse backgrounds and life experiences come and take advantage of all that summer in Vermont has to offer, like our lenient enforcement of violent crime and our generous public assistance benefits that allow everyone to be able to afford the recreational substances of their choice! Next time you pay your taxes in Vermont, you can really beam with pride in what wonderful investments our little state is making in tourism promotion and in celebrating diversity!
New Slogan:
Kinda like “Pure Michigan”, Vermont’s ought to be: “Pure Communism”.
New plates for everyone!!!
Just more trash up from the cities, lock these POS up, and throwaway the key !!
Kudos to law enforcement, for a job well done, but the question remains, will the courts do the same, or will law enforcement be charged with child abuse, and profiling, then hounded from their jobs…stay tuned, and remember, come November, vote every leftist out of office, as it was their policies that brought these types of perps, to their Peoples Republic of Vermont.
Vote them out and never ever let them back in.
Mike D, please follow up, I am sure you are already, with the connection between these fine young citizens and the victims. On the face of it, with the geography and age differences, this may have been just a random act. A carload of thugs takes a day trip to VT find a secluded rural home and have a thrill crime? Wow, thanks again progressives for enabling and encouraging this in multiple ways. Well, let’s get these guys the services and attention they deserve, and be careful not to suggest they get a more conventional haircut which might lead to better employability, that will violate our new Vt. hair law! (did that one pass?)
Send them to Mulvaney’s house to cook for them.
I wish these tweekers would pay their damn drug bills. This is a little too close to home.
just another day at the vermont tourist zoo/// just wrap a log chain around each of their necks and pad lock it and load them in the back of a empty ten wheel dump truck and give them a ride back to springfield mass. and make sure the driver hits every pot hole/// tell the governor of mass. we have a special delivery coming soon//// but of course nobody could be that angry in the vermont tourist state//// oh yes, make sure tel//// lie///// vision/// is on the the job with one of their wonderful reporters, if you can one/////////
correction//// if you can find one////
Next week will find me guiding stream fishing in the Lewis Pond watershed region. I’ll be loaded for bear and carrying a shovel in the truck. Same as most of us here.
Again, I condemn VDC for posting the racist mug shots of these poor misguided youths. The very least VDC could have done was to dig up their high school yearbook pictures. Oh, what? They didn’t graduate high school? My bad bro.
