An oil tanker owned by Irving Oil caught on fire Monday morning at about 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of Rte. 2 and I-89 exit 10 in Waterbury.
The blaze was extinguished in about 10 minutes by Waterbury firefighters. It appears to have begun in the right rear of the small oil tanker truck and was extinguished with water coming from hoses from the Waterbury fire department tanker truck.
