Christina Nolan has hired veteran political campaigner Jake Monssen as Campaign Manager for her run for the U.S. Senate.
Molan said he is an experienced political operative at various levels of campaigning. “I am thrilled to have Jake on the team. His experience and demeanor are exactly what we need to take this to the next level and be victorious in August and November,” Nolan said.
Monssen has worked for multiple campaigns in South Dakota, Mississippi, Georgia, and Kentucky. He has served as director of constituent services for Gov. Kristi Noem in South Dakota, and as communications director and campaign manager for Jennifer Strahan, who sought unsuccessfully to unseat Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene of Georgia during a primary this year. He was also the 2020 campaign manager for Todd McMurtry, who ran unsuccessfully for Congress as a Republican. McMurtry, a high-profile lawyer, represented Kyle Rittenhouse in his defense trial.
“Vermont deserves a Senator that is focused on Vermont and not climbing the political ladder. Christina’s background as U.S. Attorney and fighting to make Vermont a safer place to live makes her the right fit to represent Vermont in the U.S. Senate,” said Jake Monssen. “I’m excited to be here.”
