UK’s Starmer announces ‘coalition of the willing’ to deploy troops in Ukraine | 2 March 2025 | British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that the UK and France are ready to lead a “coalition of the willing” to provide military support to Ukraine, including the deployment of troops and aircraft, aiming to secure Kiev’s positions once a peace deal with Moscow has been reached. During an emergency summit in London on Sunday, following Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky’s disastrous trip to Washington, Starmer emphasized the necessity for the EU and other sponsors to step up and take a leading role in supporting Kiev. …He insisted that those willing should act with urgency. “Not every nation will feel able to contribute, but that can’t mean that we sit back. Instead, those willing will intensify planning now with real urgency. The UK is prepared to back this with boots on the ground and planes in the air, together with others,” Starmer told the press.

More governments pledge to join UK and France in sending troops to Ukraine | 2 March 2025 | More countries have signed up to Britain and France’s plan to send “peacekeeping” troops to Ukraine in the event of a peace deal, Keir Starmer said. Speaking to reporters after a summit of European and world leaders in London on Sunday, the United Kingdom’s prime minister insisted the “coalition of the willing” plan must have United States backing. Donald Trump’s America was a “reliable ally,” he said. “A number of countries” agreed to commit troops to a peacekeeping force during the summit, Starmer said, but he added that he would leave it to individual nations to announce their participation. It reflected a similar statement on defense spending made after the summit by NATO chief Mark Rutte. Rutte said he heard “new announcements” around the table for more European countries vowing to “ramp up defense spending.”

Top U.S. official suggests Zelensky may need to go | 2 March 2025 | Washington is unsure whether Vladimir Zelensky is the right man to lead Ukraine at this juncture, the US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz has told CNN. The official argued that Friday’s tumultuous spat between the Ukrainian leader, President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance indicated that Zelensky may not be ready to talk peace. When asked by CNN on Sunday to share his view of Zelensky, Waltz said, “It’s unclear whether President Zelensky, particularly after what we saw on Friday, is ready to transition Ukraine to an end to this war, and to negotiate and have to compromise.” He noted that it is President Trump’s conviction that both Kiev and Moscow would have to make concessions in order to stop the bloodshed… When pressed by a CNN presenter as to whether the White House wanted Zelensky to step down, Waltz clarified, “We need a leader that can deal with us, eventually deal with the Russians, and end this war.”

Vance family moved to ‘undisclosed location’ after hundreds of pro-Ukraine protesters swarm ski resort ahead of vacation | 2 March 2025 | Vice President JD Vance was forced to move his family to an “undisclosed location” after hundreds of pro-Ukraine protesters [deep-state Nazis] swarmed the Vermont ski resort where they were vacationing Saturday — just days after his public dust-up with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House. Vance and his family were greeted by hundreds of outraged protesters lining the snow-covered streets while visiting Sugarbush Resort in Waitsfield but were forced to cut their four-day trip short after seeing the intensity of the protests. Protestors displayed signs that labeled Vance a “national disgrace,” accused him of being a “traitor” and encouraged the family to “go ski in Russia.’

European leaders ripped for ‘creepy’ pro-Zelensky posts that read exactly the same | 2 March 2025 | A handful of European leaders are coming under the microscope of critics on social media for issuing pro-Ukraine messages with the exact same wording following Ukraine President Vlodomyr Zelensky’s fiery meeting with President Donald Trump on Friday. “Your dignity honours the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, dear President [Zelensky]. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace,” read verbatim social media posts from at least five different European leaders [WEF-installed dirt-bags] since Friday. The president of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis, European Parliament member Manfred Weber, and European Council President Antonio Costa all posted the same exact social media message on Friday, a review of X shows. Social media users quickly caught on that the messages were exactly the same, criticizing them as “kinda creepy” and asking, “Has the EU been bots this whole time?”

Zelensky not ready for peace – Trump –The U.S. president has accused the Ukrainian leader of “disrespecting” Washington | 28 Feb 2025 | Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky is not ready for peace as he sees Washington’s involvement in negotiations on the Ukraine conflict as a bargaining chip, U.S. President Donald Trump has stated, following a heated and unprecedented meeting on Friday. Trump made the caustic remarks in a social media post after receiving Zelensky at the White house, where the two were expected to sign an agreement granting Washington access to Ukraine’s natural resources. Zelensky’s visit to the White House was cut short after he got into a heated exchange with Trump and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance in front of the gathered media leading to Trump accusing Zelensky of “disrespectful” behavior in the Oval Office. The tense exchange culminated in an argument when Vance reminded Zelensky that the latter went to Pennsylvania in October to campaign for the Democrats, and urged him to “say a few words of gratitude to the U.S. and the president who is trying to save your country.”

EU membership for Ukraine ‘unthinkable’ – Orban –Kiev joining the bloc could trigger economic collapse and rising crime in Hungary, the prime minister said | 28 Feb 2025 | Admitting Ukraine into the EU would be an “unthinkable” act, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has stated, adding that accession to the bloc by Kiev could have severe economic and security consequences for Hungary. Speaking in an interview with Kossuth Radio on Friday, Orban said that while he would not rule out Ukraine joining the bloc in principle, doing so under the current circumstances would be virtually impossible. “One thing I can say for sure: here and now, this is unthinkable,” he said. He argued that Ukraine’s membership in the EU “would ruin us,” adding, “First, it would destroy Hungarian farmers and Hungarian agriculture. Second, it would subsequently ruin the entire Hungarian national economy.”

Russia proposes resuming direct flights with U.S. | 28 Feb 2025 | Moscow has proposed restoring direct air travel with the U.S. as part of ongoing efforts to revive bilateral relations, according to a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday following a new round of talks in Turkey. The U.S. suspended flights and closed its airspace to Russian airlines in 2022, along with other Western nations, in response to the escalation of the Ukraine conflict. Since then, travelers have relied on connecting flights through hubs such as Istanbul and Dubai. According to the ministry, the Russian proposal to resume flights was made during a meeting with the U.S. delegations in Istanbul on Thursday. The talks, which were aimed at mending the diplomatic rift that deepened under the previous regime, focused on reinstating regular operations at diplomatic missions and ensuring favorable conditions for their functioning.

Anti-Israel protesters with Hamas flags could land 4 years behind bars under new NY state bill | 2 March 2025 | Anti-Israel protesters who display the flag of terror groups such as Hamas or Hezbollah could face up to four years behind bars under a new state bill. The proposed Stand Against Flags of Enemy Terrorists Act would expand the definition of aggravated harassment in the first degree — a class E felony — to include instances when a person displays a symbol of a foreign terrorist organization with the intent to harass, annoy, threaten or another person, according to state Sen. Brad Hoylman-Sigal and Assemblyman Micah Lasher, Manhattan Democrats who are set to introduce the bill this week.

F-16s are scrambled and deploy flares as 3 planes caught circling near Trump’s Palm Beach home | 2 March 2025 | Three aircraft have reportedly violated the airspace above Palm Beach, Florida, right above where President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort is located. Three civilian planes were escorted out of the area by F-16 fighter jets that had to be scrambled by North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), reported Todd Starnes, on Newsmax. During two of the intercepts, the fighter jets reportedly had to deploy flares. However, all three civilian fliers were safely nudged out of Palm Beach airspace, according to Starnes… It’s not clear under what circumstances these planes flew into Palm Beach airspace, but these kinds of scenarios have been happening quite frequently over the few weeks.

White powder brought to Florida ICE center by Cuban migrant causes guard to fall ill, forces building evacuation| 20 Feb 2025 | A suspicious package brought to a Florida Immigration and Customs Enforcement office by a Cuban migrant caused a security guard to fall ill and forced a sudden evacuation of the building Thursday morning, according to authorities. A bag with a “white powdery substance” sent a scare through the facility in Miramar around 7:15 a.m. and led to the migrant’s arrest as President Trump and ICE have made frequent headlines for their crackdown on illegal immigration since the Republican took office last month. A flood of local authorities and first responders converged on the office after a security officer came in contact with the package during a regular screening and got sick, Miramar police and ICE told The Post in separate statements.

Soros trying to derail Trump’s plans – Musk | 28 Feb 2025 | Elon Musk has backed claims that Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros is spending millions of dollars in an attempt to block U.S. President Donald Trump’s political agenda. The accusation comes after the U.S. Republican Party narrowly passed a budget blueprint on Tuesday in the House of Representatives, leading to concerns that the outcome of an upcoming race for a seat in the Wisconsin Supreme Court could shift the balance of power. On Thursday, former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker claimed in a post on X that Soros has been trying to influence the Wisconsin vote in order to give the Democrats the upper hand in Congress. “Do the math. The vote on Tuesday night was 217-215. George Soros is pulling millions into the WI Supreme Court race because a 4-3 liberal majority will redraw Congressional districts to squeeze out 2 GOP seats,” Walker wrote. “This is how he blocks the Trump agenda. We can’t let that happen,” he added. Musk agreed with Walker on Friday, writing that derailing Trump’s agenda “is exactly [Soros’s] goal.”

How Obama’s FAA used a skewed multiple-choice quiz to prioritize DEI applicants and bar the brightest from air traffic controller jobs | 28 Feb 2025 | A job questionnaire for aspiring air traffic controllers introduced by the Obama regime was designed to meet secret DEI target numbers, DailyMail dot com can reveal. The aspiring controllers were given extra credit for being “risk takers,” in the bizarre multiple-choice quiz to secretly prioritize DEI applicants. It required virtually no knowledge of aviation to pass but top marks were awarded to candidates who “need a great deal of time to complete assignments” and “take chances very often.” And playing three or more sports in high school was rated more valuable than having a stint as an air traffic controller in the military. The 2014 entry test proved notoriously hard to pass for elite, mostly white college graduates who excelled in traditional cognitive tests. But race reformers said it paved the way for more “off the street” hires — namely women and minorities — to land high stakes jobs responsible for the lives of millions of air passengers. “Bonkers is the right word for this,” one aviation expert told DailyMail dot com.

Serial killer attempts comeback: Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo enters race for NYC mayor | 1 March 2025 | Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo has finally announced his bid for City Hall — a late entry that threatens to eclipse a crowded Democratic primary and deal a diminished incumbent Mayor Eric Adams a political death blow. Cuomo enters the race already widely considered the front-runner after a months-long shadow campaign, in which he coyly avoided officially announcing his comeback while ruthlessly capitalizing behind the scenes on Adams’ scandal-plagued first term. But he will have to fend off a slate of city Democrats looking to dethrone the former state leader by attacking him over the sexual harassment claims that pushed him out of office. They will also slam Cuomo during the primary for lying about the handling of nursing homes during the COVID pandemic that led to hundreds [thousands] of deaths, signing the controversial bail reforms into laws and paving the way for congestion pricing.

Family of Cuomo’s COVID nursing home victims blast ‘disqualified’ gov’s quest for more power | 1 March 2025 | Family members of COVID-19 nursing home victims vowed to fight former Gov. Cuomo’s mayoral candidacy “every step of the way” — saying his handling of the pandemic “disqualified’ him from mounting a political comeback. “When you fail the most vulnerable who need the most help and are counting on the leadership to be top notch, he already disqualified himself from this race,” Vivian Rivera-Zayas, whose mother, Ana, died after contracting COVID-19 at a Long Island nursing home, told The Post. “We’re going to continue to fight him every step of the way, hoping that he will not be elected our mayor.” On March 25, 2020, the Cuomo regime issued a controversial directive forcing nursing homes take in COVID-19 patients who were discharged from hospitals, which some experts said contributed to thousands of deaths.

Keep corrupt, dishonest Andrew Cuomo from office, warns FDNY battalion chief whose parents died during pandemic | 1 March 2025 | FDNY Battalion Chief Sean Newman’s parents Michael and Dolores Newman died in 2020 after then Gov. Cuomo’s executive order allowed hospitals to send COVID-19-infected seniors to long-term care facilities — which were compelled to accept them. Newman and his wife Janice Dean, senior meteorologist at Fox News Channel, have said their family was a victim of Cuomo’s “deadly leadership.” Newman tells the FDNY officers union why Cuomo is not the right candidate for mayor of New York City.
“UFOA Board of Directors, As you debate the difficult and complex decision of candidate endorsements, I wanted to express to my opposition to Andrew Cuomo’s candidacy, or any attempt by him to return to public office. Disgraced former Gov. Cuomo is corrupt, dishonest and uses well-known intimidation tactics to get his way, which is something my family and I have never bowed to… My parents died within 2-1/2 weeks of each other, and they died alone. At the time, we had no idea that our former governor had issued a directive on March 25, 2020 to flood New York’s senior facilities with over 9,000 Covid patients — a decision that we believe could have killed my parents. We are not angry simply because an order was issued doing a chaotic and confusing time. We are angry for the reasons the March 25 order was sent out, which was designed to be in the best interests of healthcare executives and not in the best interest of an aging population with compromised immune systems. These decisions were based on politics and exacting control on the population, as opposed to science and public benefit.”

Granholm Energy Department gave California utilities $600M; now she’ll sit on their boards | 24 Feb 2025 | Former Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm announced on Thursday that she will be joining the boards of directors for Southern California Edison Company and its parent corporation Edison International, one of the largest utility companies in the U.S. This comes just six months after Granholm’s Department of Energy awarded 600 million to a consortium of California utilities, including Southern California Edison. During her tenure at the DOE, Granholm was accused of a number of ethics violations, including conflicts of interest and using her official position to promote companies in which she had a financial stake or relationship. Nonetheless, despite the widespread reporting of her controversial tenure, she was never charged or disciplined for any wrongdoing.

Officials discover ‘significant void’ below New Jersey interstate where sinkholes keep opening | 27 Feb 2025 | A “significant void” sits just below the pavement of a New Jersey highway that’s been beset by random sinkholes over the last few months — and state officials say it may take a while to repair. The New Jersey Department of Transportation has closed Interstate 80’s eastbound lanes in the Morris County town of Wharton twice in the last three months after reports that the ground was falling away. In one of those instances, a mammoth sinkhole the size of a four-story building opened up on the highway shoulder in December, closing lanes for nearly four days while workers scrambled to fix it. Now, officials say they’ve figured out why this keeps happening — a void exists just below the surface of the roadbed near Exit 34, according to NBC 4 New York.

  1. Re: “Zelensky not ready for peace.” No, Zelensky is ready for peace, which he could instantly have if Vladimir Putin ordered his troops to cease fire and go home. There is a big difference between “peace” and “capitulation,” which Zelensky is perfectly justified in refusing to consider. The world learned this distinction with Neville Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler in September of 1938. Any student of history remembers Chamberlain waving the “peace agreement” he’d gotten Hitler to sign, while proclaiming he had secured “peace for our time.” As Yogi Beara said, “it’s like deja vu all over again.” Unbelievably sad that we are about to repeat the idiocy that was supposed to be resolved by “our greatest generation.” We are insulting that generation’s legacy by insisting on Zelensky’s capitulation while Russian and North Korean troops are on his soil. There is no other way to spin it. Learn your history before you become history!

    • Re: “Zelensky is ready for peace, which he could instantly have if Vladimir Putin ordered his troops to cease fire and go home.”

And Zelensky could have peace if he just surrendered.

What amazes me is that schizophrenic progressive/liberal/RINO Vermonters have turned into neocon warmongers. No wonder Dick & Liz Cheney switched to the democrat party. The Cheneys should come up to Vermont for a ski vacation…tsk, tsk.

    • The United States started this war and the United States needs to end it.

    • Joe –

Students of history will also remember Brent Scowcroft reassuring Gorbachev that NATO would not move “One inch” east of Berlin after the fall of the Wall. Nothing in writing, naturally. Pinky promise! And we were going to enjoy a “peace dividend”! Remember that?

The same Scowcroft who backed the CCP ripping into the Tiananmen Square protestors. The same Scowcroft who advised the Obama (General Dynamics vassal) administration on the makeup of his national security team. (Obama’s first trip abroad as a US Senator in 2004 was to, wait for it, Ukraine.) The Obama administration that facilitated the 2014 Ukraine color revolution, with Viktoria Nuland handing out COOKIES in Kiev. The same Nuland who admitted, on camera, to the presence of US biolabs in Ukraine.

In 1963, we were on the brink of nuclear war due to Russian nukes in Cuba, 90 miles from our shores. How do you think Russia thinks of the possibility of Ukraine in NATO?

Western neocons have been gunning for Russia’s oil and mineral wealth. Sorry, Joe; it ain’t gonna happen. The Ukraine project has vaporized before us in a brilliant flash from the Oval Office.

    • And of course we remember that 25 million Russians died repelling Hitler.

    • No mr. benning, zelensky the megalomaniac is not done extracting every dollar possible from the US and the europeans, therefore will not negotiate peace anytime soon. zelensky is a dictator now, having cancelled elections, extended martial law and forced conscription yet again. The US has already put in excess of 128 BILLON tax dollars, the europeans 200 plus BILLION dollars- yet zelensky wants more- and entry into NATO, US troops on the ground in Ukraine… and a return of territory. zelensky is running a laundromat, not a country and desires to start WWIII in the process. We need to let Trump lead the US away from such debacles, not allow the carnage and money-laundering to continue. We also need an accounting of the over 100 BILLION “given” by the US.

    • Excellent video. The Leftist normies in this state have no idea, nor do they care, why Russia invaded Ukraine. The West and NATO broke agreements and kept pushing; Zelensky banned opposition parties; curtailed free speech, banned the Orthodox church, bombed and terrorized the citizens of the Donbass which is over 90% Russian and much more. This state is unfortunately populated my idiot NPC’s who only listen to NPR and other propaganda mouthpieces.

  2. Sadly, the video links I posted cannot be shared by anyone on Front Porch forum, 7 days and VTDigger.

In our Valley reporter there was an ad about the protest, we’ll provide signs for you! So perhaps much like the college astro turf protests, this may well be another funded protest in Vermont.

Vermont is an isolation chamber of propaganda and free reign for those who push it, the biggest purveyor being Montpelier and the Uniparty, aka swamp, aka markist cabal…

I wish the videos came up as a video rather than a link they are truly enlightening

    • Seriously Neil, your “research” is a TikTok video posting?!?! Brilliant. The 80 year record of the United States being leader of the free world, hard earned through the efforts of our greatest generation, is evaporating as we demonstrate the United States can no longer be trusted as a nation willing to stand up to a bully brutally invading his neighbor. Maybe we’re just exhausted, I get it. Maybe Europe hasn’t shared its appropriate burden, I get it. Maybe we want to adopt the Charles Lindbergh approach of isolationism and be left alone just to do our own thing, I get it. I don’t want to go to war either, but capitulating to a bully has historically led to war, not peace. For any of us to rely on TikTok social media posts as “research” is just plain irresponsible. I’ll disengage now.

    • Re: Seriously Neil, your “research” is a TikTok video posting?!?!

Sure, Mr. Benning. Attack the messenger. The video Mr. Johnson cited is of a well-informed, now Trump cabinet member (RFK Jr.), describing, in detail, the circumstances surrounding the Ukraine – Russia conflict. If you would rather, watch RFK Jr’s remarks on YouTube, here you go.

I wonder how much of your 401K is invested in Blackrock owned companies. It must be significant. After all, Blackrock, Vanguard, and State Street indirectly own 88% of the S&P 500 publicly traded companies.

According to CNN Business (if you approve of them of course) — BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street manage a stunning $15 trillion in combined assets, equivalent to more than three-quarters the size of the US economy.

But, of course, you knew that.

  3. Tyler Austin: There’s no way to reply to your comment directly because there isn’t any reply button under your comment on my screen. I completely agree with you on Russia feeling nervous about nukes like we did with Cuba, which is why we negotiated with Ukraine to give up its nuclear weapons program. There was no threat of Ukraine joining NATO when Russia seized the Crimean Penninsula. Consider that seizure made Ukrainians a tad nervous about further encroachments. I also agree with you that Ukraine’s reaction to seek NATO membership exacerbated the situation, but I’d argue it doesn’t justify what Putin has now done by seizing the Donbass region, kidnapping Ukrainian children and the daily bombing of Ukrainian territory for three years. NATO could simply have declined Ukraine’s membership with diplomatic wisdom applied. Mr. Eshelman is correct that Zalensky could have peace if he simply surrendered, but I’d argue the message that sends to the world about our role in protecting democracy is only surpassed by the message it sends to Putin, who presently appears to be playing our president like a fiddle. It will be interesting to see which one of us is right. Thanks for engaging in a civil discussion.

  4. Would you believe any political hack that went along with the COVID KILL SHOT and has not gone to jail????????

  5. I wonder what happened to the investigation cited below? Russia ain’t so bad when the Democrats or RINOs need extra scratch. Hunter Biden took money from a Moscow ogliarch? Obama caught on hot mike – “tell Putin I can do more after the election?” Weird huh? It’s all a big pack of lies and a big smoke screen covering up a Pandora’s Box of high stakes espionage and treason. Anyway, even Lindsay Graham is upset with coke-head Zelinsky – for a neo-con warhawk that is quite extraordinary. Strange bedfellows, literally and figuratively, indeed. No honor among thieves.

NBC News December 21, 2017: On the orders of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Justice Department prosecutors have begun asking FBI agents to explain the evidence they found in a now dormant criminal investigation into a controversial uranium deal that critics have linked to Bill and Hillary Clinton, multiple law enforcement officials told NBC News.

The interviews with FBI agents are part of the Justice Department’s effort to fulfill a promise an assistant attorney general made to Congress last month to examine whether a special counsel was warranted to look into what has become known as the Uranium One deal, a senior Justice Department official said.

At issue is a 2010 transaction in which the Obama Administration allowed the sale of U.S. uranium mining facilities to Russia’s state atomic energy company. Hillary Clinton was secretary of state at the time, and the State Department was one of nine agencies that agreed to approve the deal after finding no threat to U.S. national security.
