Last Tuesday the Wall Street Journal reported that China “has just become the first in the world to put the latest generation of nuclear power technology into use, as a power plant with two new reactors started commercial operations in the eastern province of Shandong.”
“The new plant uses fourth-generation reactors, which are considered to be safer and more fuel efficient by an international consortium of nuclear countries. The consortium has approved six types of such reactors, and China is trying to build all of them. Western countries aren’t expected to start bringing their own fourth-generation nuclear plants online until the early 2030s.”
“China is now building 22 of the 58 reactors under construction around the world, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency. The country currently operates 55 reactors.
Back in 2010 I wrote in a column “By 2022 new Generation IV nuclear systems ought to be on line. With the Vermont Yankee site’s good location, 125 acres, rail spur, cooling towers, switchyard, security, shops, and land use permits intact, what better place [than Vermont Yankee’s site] to site an Integrated Fast Reactor, coupled with a pyroprocessing facility to recover the 95% of energy stored in spent fuel rods? Or a high temperature Pebble Bed Modular Reactor, whose very hot steam facilitates efficient electrolysis to produce hydrogen for our non-polluting fuel cell vehicles?”
But of course deep green Vermont couldn’t even think about such an awful thing.

Exactly. Nuclear is not allowed because the United Nations, activists, supporting politicians and globalists do not want nuclear energy. China either got a pass, is shaping US energy policies via the UN to enrich itself as almost all batteries and solar panels are made in China, or China has the common sense to ignore the UN altogether. The only other option is that geopolitical forces want to destroy American prosperity and the middle class. These policies will certainly financially drain all Americans and reduce the quality of life in America, reducing it to a second world nation.

These 4th gen nuclear power plants are probably a great option for energy. The controlling powers of course vilify them because they do not want us to have energy, they want us dead or starving so that we cave to their demands for us to give up our liberties. This is ultimately what the WHO amendments/treaty, UN Agenda 2030 are about.
Carbon is good and when atmospheric carbon gets too low, we all die. In the form of CO2, carbon is a necessary prerequisite for life; it is the primary giver of O2 in the plant kingdom respiration cycle.
The Chinese are brilliant politicians and economists. They use the stuff that actually works for themselves (nuclear & coal) and they export all the useless woke cr*p (batteries, solar panels and other green energy boondoggles) to the West, while milking all the incentives we’re paying for with our tax dollars! Joke’s entirely on us. We’re getting absolutely shafted at both ends. Doesn’t bode well for the future.
