Police have identified the body found in the debris of a home explosion in Newfane.

Russell Buzby, 56, of Newfane died in the explosion of a single family home at 521 VT Rte. 30 at 1 AM November 18, state police say.

Police and numerous fire departments responded to the address for multiple 911 calls reporting the explosion of a residence. Preliminary investigation revealed a deceased male at this location in the burnt debris. The home itself was a total loss.
