MacDonald: Gender health care IS conversion therapy

If you’d like a window into the demented minds of Dem party leaders and elected officials, look no further than the pretzel-like contortions required to oppose conversion therapy without mentioning the mental and medical health programs for transgender youth.

Vermont Attorney General Charity Clark has joined a coalition of 19 states and the District of Columbia in filing an amicus brief in support of Michigan’s ban on conversion therapy for minors, her office announced Tuesday June 3

The legal brief, submitted this week to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, defends Michigan’s 2023 law prohibiting licensed health professionals from attempting to change a minor’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

The brief claims that conversion therapy, also known as sexual orientation or gender identity change efforts is associated with a heightened risk of mental health crises, including depression and suicide, particularly among LGBTQ+ youth.

The distinction is simple. If a child has feelings about sex or gender that do not align with their body and culture, talking about that should be illegal unless it fits the far-left worldview. A position that moves increasingly toward erasing gays and lesbians by neutering them with drugs and surgery. [Related: The Trans Agenda Is Gay Conversion Therapy!]

Transgender Agenda is Gay Conversion Therapy

Meanwhile, Crazy Clark is also making sure we know that the First Amendment has nothing to do with it.

[VT AG] Clark said the First Amendment gives no protection to conversion therapy practitioners.

“The First Amendment does not give licensed providers the right to practice therapies that fall far below the accepted standard of care,” the brief states. “States have long held the power to regulate professional conduct, especially in the interest of protecting vulnerable populations like children.”

Actually, AG Clark, the First Amendment protects their speech from you and your mandates. Where did Vermont find this loon?

And why does the First Amendment defend grooming trans kids in public schools? You lot lose your minds with the banned book rants whenever a parent opposes easy access to over-sexualized content whose sole purpose is to confuse kids about sex and gender, who then go to therapists who convince them they are a different sex or gender. That’s conversion therapy, you moonbat!

You groom them and then it’s off to the gender drugs, therapy, or surgery to convert them, and Vermont is a bloody sanctuary for this crap, despite a rising professional global opposition that has determined it to be dangerous and unnecessary and which fails to reduce the issues proponents use to justify it.

Clark insists that “Conversion therapy is not just unscientific—it’s dangerous.”

Not as dangerous as the trans-agenda conversion therapy.

  1. Transing and the like is going to go the way of Lobotomies and electric shock therapy and Vermont is going to be among the idiot places that clung too it to the bitter end.

  2. Charity Clark now has the ability to charge you with providing medical disinformation. The first person she should charge is Charity Clark.

  3. The actual process is chemical/surgical sterilization, body mutilation, willful mental and emotional abuse, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Recall the time when there was an uproar over the practice of FGM – female genital mutilation, the WHO dedicates a whole page on their website. Wrong if it is one cultural practice, perfectly fine if it’s another blessed by our government and sponsored by Planned Parenthood?

If an adult (18+) wants to take the informed risk of irreversable surgery and dope themselves up with medications for life – that is their free will. No child should ever be coerced, manipulated or forced into such an abomination. Should be common sense, but alas, common sense is as scarce as hens teeth. Evil is what evil does to their fellow human being – especially children. Wickedness dwells in the highest and lowest of places – and within all points in between. Given over to reprobate minds – words to seriously take to heart in times such as these.

  4. All this nonsense would go away if Vermont allowed parental rights
