A Lyndon woman has been charged with embezzling approximately $4,000 from a local convenience store where she served as general manager.
According to the Lyndonville Police Department, Michaela N. Dubois, 35, was arrested on July 26, following a complaint from a Jiffy Mart corporate officer alleging missing bank deposits and falsified receipts.
After an investigation, police determined that the funds were unaccounted for and linked to fraudulent documentation.
Dubois was cited to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on September 15 to face charges related to the alleged embezzlement.
