BURLINGTON — Dontayveus Thomas, 32, of Brooklyn, New York, has been federally indicted for conspiracy to manufacture and distribute cocaine base and fentanyl, as well as for possession with intent to distribute both substances.
Thomas was arraigned on April 4, 2025, before U.S. Judge Judith G. Dein and is currently being held pending further proceedings.
According to court records, on February 25, 2023, Winooski firefighters responded to a fire alarm at an apartment where they discovered evidence of narcotics manufacturing. Police obtained a search warrant and later seized approximately 400 grams of cocaine, 180 grams of cocaine base, and more than 130 grams of fentanyl. Further investigation tied Thomas to the manufacturing and possession of the seized drugs.
