One-minute audio commentary, ‘Just A Minute’
Yesterday, I and every other reporter in the Vermont State House wrote about how the House impeachment panel created by House Speaker Jill Krowinski is unlikely to impeach Franklin County Sheriff John Grismore because, they said Tuesday, his offenses happened before he was elected.
This afternoon, I heard from my old buddy Steve, a frequent reader of the Vermont Daily Chronicle. Said Steve:
“Are you telling me the witch-hunt of Grismore conjured up by the Speaker, led by representatives Martin Lalonde and Mike McCarthy, held in secret behind closed doors, took over a year before they realized they couldn’t impeach him under existing law or conjure up other counts? Yikes, even I knew the supposed event occurred prior to him being duly elected by his voters.
Well, Steve – I think that is what they’re saying. When I’m in the State House tomorrow I hope to ask one of them. Stay tuned.

If the man committed a crime, wouldn’t he be punished for said crime?
Remember when a certain farmer representative was dragged through the mud for supposedly prostituting his tenant for rent? And not less than what a year later they are trying to “decriminalize sex work”? I can remember all the nasty comments.

There is wisdom we haven’t completely followed. Our land was based upon biblical knowledge and laws, whether we realize it or not. Here is one, we forgot. Just think of how much better our world would be with just this one.
“The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So, you shall purge the evil from your midst” (Deuteronomy 19:18–19). The Law also specified that the punishment of a false witness was to be carried out without pity (Deuteronomy 19:21); it is a serious thing in God’s eyes to make a false accusation.
Just think…. Deuteronomy is a good read, highly recommended.
This is a first Vermont could be proud of! Just think we’d have 3 marxists impeached due to their own actions. That should bring a smile to any Vermonters face.
I think this would be called a trifecta for those whom love our republic.
There is no requirement for a legislator or panel member to know the law or know the Vermont Constitution. The irony of swearing to an oath they have no clue what it actually means or says. Their role is to simply push new laws to contradict and subvert existing ones and upend Constitutional law to suit the corporation’s best interests.
Someone once said that it is easier to imagine the end of the world than to imagine the end of capitalism. We can now revise that and witness the attempt to imagine capitalism by way of imagining the end of the world.

I don’t know why anyone would be upset or surprised. It’s only Communists doing what Communists do.

I do not know much about Rep. McCarthy but I have known that Lalonde and what’s her name, the speaker, are not the brightest bulbs on the block. They are elitists and lack clear thought. Wonder how much they billed taxpayers for their drawn out, hiddened committee.

Just proof that you don’t have to be the brightest bulb in the chandelier to be a State Rep. We have more than a few 5 watt wonders under the Golden Dumb !
Give me a break. Whether Grismore can be impeached or not, he has no business serving as sheriff. The sheriffs’ association – his peers – have called on him to resign. He’s been stripped of his law-enforcement credentials. His financial management of the office is a disgrace. He hasn’t been “falsely accused” of anything – he assaulted a shacked prison in police custody on camera. Whether he can be impeached under current law is separate question.
