Vermonters for Vermont Initiative will host a “Townhall on Energy 6 PM, Dec. 19 in Colchester with a panel of six experts on the topic, Organizer Greg Thayer said the panel will discuss the Global Warming Solutions Acts, Home Heat, Carbon Tax, Fossil Fuels, the Energy Grid, and other topics.
The Townhall on Energy will be held at the Colchester Meeting House on Main Street. The event starts at 6 pm, doors open at 5:30 pm. The Meeting House is handicapped accessible and the free event is open to the public.
V4VI is a statewide educational platform reaching out to Vermonters. The group hosted a “Townhall on Energy” in Rutland last month. Over the past three years, V4VI has hosted Townhalls and Symposiums across Vermont on CRT Equity and Americanism & Marxism.
Thayer said that the speakers panel consists of Secretary Julie Moore from the Agency of Natural Resources; Rob Roper, a public policy analyst & writer; Rep. Mark Higley, Orleans – LaMoille; JT Dodge, No Carbon Tax Vermont and a Group & Systems Engineer; Neale F. Lunderville, President Vermont Gas; and Matt Cota, Vermont Fuel Dealers Association.
