Geoengineering ban discussed in House Environment Committee

A bill to ban geoengineering was reviewed Wednesday in the Vermont House Environment Committee.

”I am a farmer. And I have seen the different challenges we have faced with precipitation. I don’t believe we need more precipitation In Vermont,” said Representative Gregg Burt (R-Cabot), the main sponsor of bill H.217, an act relating to prohibiting geoengineering.

Rep. Burt cited some of his concerns on geoengineering: “I don’t think it would create more predictably if anything it would be less predictable…the chemicals being used are also dangerous and some of them contain chaff and PFAS chemicals.”

“I have received a call from a representative of a cloud seeding company called Rainmaker…The fact that it’s [this bill] getting phone calls from reps of rainmaker, it is at our doorstep, it’s not here yet.. But when something is in place it’s much harder to stop than when it’s already banned.”

Rainmaker, a cloud seeing company based in California, also sent a two page document to the committee explaining the differences between cloud seeding and geoengineering.

However, the Vermont bill specifically includes language on cloud seeding because as Burt stated, Vermont doesn’t need more rain.

Rainmaker’s 24 year old CEO, Augustus Doricko, has been touring legislatures around giving testimony on cloud seeding, defending his company’s technology and effectively killing geoengineering bills.

Most recently he’s been giving testimony in the Florida legislature which I wrote a detailed commentary for Our Geoengineering Age Substack, picking apart his testimony.

Rep. John Bartholomew questioned the definition of the word “geoengineering” and wondered if the definition in the bill included projects that would include carbon sequestration. Rep. Burt informed said this bill is explicitly targeting atmospheric activity and manipulation at a larger scale.

“It’s exciting to see new technology,” Rep. Sara Austin said. It would be helpful to have more scientific data on the harm that’s being done. More substantiated verifiable data, because I think it might be possible they could do something not harmful. Something less harmful that could potentially address climate change”

  1. We need to stop this now, Vermont doesn’t need cloud seeding or geo engineering. I have seen more rain in Vermont in the last two years than I have ever seen before, grey overcast skies day after day. l watch planes high up going back and forth spreading trails of whatever that spreads out to hide what was a beautiful sunny day . Ask yourself how much its costing Vermonters to have hundreds of planes flying back and forth across Vermont with chemicals that cost how much? what about the carbon these planes emit? Please ban this !

  2. More from this old Vermonter…… Who gives one single fig about “RAINMAKERS” from California? Go home. Stay home.

  3. Why is this so difficult to comprehend that cloud seeding will cause flooding and that Chem trails will put dangerous micro particles of metals and chemicals into our drinking water and on our farmers fields so their in our food we eat all to dim the sun. Does anyone truly think this is a safe science or that long term it won’t cause cancer??? Those companies like Rainmakers that do these practices don’t care if it long-term it causes cancer, or floods your community and you loose everything or puts the state in financial ruin-they just want to lie and make you afraid that climate change has to be dealt with now by dimming the sun with metals and chemicals to lower the suns temperature and making it rain when we don’t need it. They want to put fear into people to think it’s the only option and they of course want to make lots of money. Ask Tennessee and other states why they banned it or are in the process of banning it. And ask yourself the Agent Orange that they used in Vietnam and the burn pits in Afghanistan-how did soldiers fare after being exposed to these chemicals??? And ban geoengineering and cloud seeding.

  4. After a long day of chem trails go out early the next morning and look for a
sticky cob web substance in the air.

  5. I find it interesting that the good comments above (except 1) know much more about the dangerous elements and toxins (‘excited’ by 5G signaling)spread over us than do the committee members. They need to watch Dane Wigington’s video – The Dimming – at geoengineeringwatch.org. Its all there, studied, verified and plain to see!!

  6. This should be a no brainer for all “Climate activist”,It’s killing our foliage ,causing more rain , and poisoning the air we breathe. Or is it possible this does not fit into your climate narrative ?

  7. The article from the money making cloud seeding company Rainmaker can’t convince this Vermonter that watches on a daily basis the beautiful blue skies change
into a cloudy day in Vermont .Like we need more cloudy days .I. grew up near airports and planes and I remember planes in the sky leaving a 1 minute trail that dissipated ,not planes that leave a trail that changes the daily weather. Please look up and see the intentional criss cross of chemicals showering our beautiful green mountains .

  8. Leave our weather to Mother Nature! She does not need your “experimental technology”.
