Upcoming: Taxes For Thee, But Not For Me
Thank you to the many, many people who have expressed their appreciation for Friday at Four, VDC-TV’s video news and commentary program airing live at (yep, you guessed it!) Friday at 4 PM on YouTube, Facebook and other platforms.
Two weeks ago on May 3 Social Media Director Paul Bean, engineer Caleb Morvan, and I produced “Housing For Me, but Not for Thee,” our best received (as of then) Friday at Four episode yet. Last Friday May 10 we produced the episode you see above, “Trafficked Women Not Free to Choose Abortion,” which also featured a lengthy discussion and comments about WHY Gov. Phil Scott had decided (finally!) attend a GOP State Convention.
We were so busy covering the state convention that we didn’t post the Friday at Four YouTube link Saturday morning, our normal practice. That news included the emergence of 25-year-old Joshua Beckhover of Cornwall as the new National Committeeman and candidate for State Treasurer, and a rousing pro-Trump speech by VP hopeful and buddy of Gov. Phil Scott, North Dakota Gov. Doug Bergum.
This Friday we will air “Taxes for Thee, and Not for Me,” where we uncover two heretofore unknown examples of you picking up the tab for the preferential tax exemptions intentionally provided for renewable power users and educators. Our sponsor will be Proctor Gas, a Rutland County fuel company owned by Judy Taranovich.
As with the daily Vermont Daily Chronicle, our favorite part of the weekly Friday at Four is the comments – YOUR comments. Tune in and tell us what you think – live! And if you haven’t already, please hit the Subscribe button on our YouTube page. It costs you nothing and helps us a lot.
