On December 30 at 11:30 AM, Burlington police saw Aaron Montgomery, 35, of Springfield, who had an active arrest warrant, near North Union St. and North Winooski Ave. in Burlington.
When officers approached Montgomery to arrest him, he sprinted away. Police pursued him. A physical altercation ensued. Montgomery attempted to stab the officers with a needle.
As other officers arrived on scene, the officers were able to place Montgomery into handcuffs. Montgomery continued to resist by kicking, spitting on, and attempting to bite officers. Read More at www.keepvermontsafe.com.

JUST ANOTHER DAY AT THE VERMONT ZOO.
These officers should be given a pay raise and medal for showing such valor and restraint. Vt Digger should write a headline about how fine our police officers acted in the line of duty, like that would ever happen in a million years.
We all know that in the People’s Republic of Burlington police officers are justifiably afraid to even look sternly at someone, lest they be branded fascist, racist, misogynist etc. A fleeing suspect with outstanding warrants can always be expected to run, physically resist, spit etc, but when a needle gets wielded as a weapon, that is crossing a big line into “imminent threat”. A sharp needle fits the legal definition of a “pointed weapon”, with the added threat of potentially dispensing a biohazard. At that point, the officer(s) should be able to back off for their own safety and deploy tools of the trade that will incapacitate from a safe distance, including Mr. Tazer. If that is ineffective, then Mr. Glock should make his appearance and speak loudly. It’s war out there, and weapons of war are fair game against the enemy.
Taser would be an incorrect tool for anyone wearing more than a light t-shirt.
Pump Shotgun// Rubber Buckshot// Leg Shots Only.
Not a very effective tool, also they were ground grappling at that point. He should have never let the man put his hand in his pocket, and should have been putting his knee on pressure points on the spine. Once the hand went into the pocket the officer should have been putting a load of hurt into their head to make them regret their decision. Once it’s identified as a needle/deadly weapon, it’s now time for deadly blows. The officer should have had gloves. Skin to skin contact with that dude in itself was high risk. That bad guy got off really easy.
The police should just sit around and do nothing until the courts promise not to keep letting these felons out on the streets in the first place. The police are pointless if we have an ineffective justice and reform system.
Just another one of the cesspool ” AKA ” Burlington’s citizens roaming its streets under progressive leadership by its DEI Mayor…………………what a shame !!!
This is all part of the plan. How did this man know, in 1980’s what would be happening on Vermont 2025? It’s all in the plan.
Here is the plan.
