I am going to keep writing about the Democratic Party losing a presidential election to a vulgar, sexual assaulter and narcissist because it is not yet clear to me that Democrats have come to grips with what happened.
This piece by Ross Barkan reflects my thinking about what ails the flailing Democratic Party. It explores the petty rivalries that exist in families and political parties. From the Obamas to the Clintons to the Bidens to Bernie Sanders, the Democratic Party is a party without a leader or a direction. Some say the Democrats are too moderate, while others say they’ve gone too far left.
The following piece answers a question I’ve been asking for weeks: should the party move toward Bernie or in a more moderate direction? I’m not even sure it’s the right question. But this Barkan piece is a start.

I was struggling to remember what Barack Obama had done since he left the White House. To challenge myself, I decided not to look anything up and truly disgorge whatever images and ideas had been lodged in my memory. There was the jetting around with Richard Branson. There was a podcast of some sort, a Netflix documentary (or documentaries), a chat with Bruce Springsteen. There’s the summer reading list. His wife published a book that outsold even his own.
He campaigned, of course, for other Democrats, whether it was candidates in the midterms or Joe Biden, his successor. This year, he and Michelle delivered speeches at the Democratic National Convention that were extraordinarily well-received. I was there, and I was impressed. I did think, and still do, that if either had run in this race against Donald Trump, they could have won. Read more here….

What has Barack Obama done since he left the White House??? He, along with a small handfull of others has been the de facto president for the last 4 years, and especially since the “debate from hell”.
The little organizer has been very “busy”, make no mistake.

No, the extreme left is NOT somnolent, they experienced and epic loss, to some daylight more than anything.
This article is devoid of discerning any truth. Obama was not a meteoric star of his own accord, he was placed, he was picked, and for those of us who could discern a liar at first blush, the speech was “great” it was full of deceit. Obama is an organizer, but nobody knew what an organizer truly was, most still don’t. Being called an organizer, being one, even worse is perhaps the worst thing an American could ever be called, same for a man of God’s own heart.
There are many in the works of bringing down a perfectly good republic, full of people who worship truth and love over their own self-interest.
Propaganda works, it works really well, this piece and most of Vermont media and Vermont’s voting records prove that out. However, when sunlight comes propaganda doesn’t fare so well.
May the sunshine brightly on our little green mountain state.
He was “placed” and “picked” as part of the democrats overt intersectional affinity-group politics, and as far as i am concerned, after his being elected to TWO TERMS (or three, depending on how you perceive Biden’s presidency), we now live in POST-RACIAL America, so democrats need to stop already with the pathological obsession with race and victimhood.
Well the Obama spent millions on a house that, according to him, will be under water by 2030.
He did a couple of documentaries, a book and he set up his dodgy presidential library on wooded parkland owned by the city of Chicago. The library won’t have any of his actual papers, though. No, it will have a couple of computers with internet access and a nice conference center to be operated at a profit for the Obama foundation.
Oh yeah, and he ran the country with his cronies in the intelligence services using FJB as his intellectually disabled fall guy.
He has been busy.
They all bow to the same masters. A feeble attempt at creating an illusion of choice. And every four years it’s the same mantra …it’s your privilege your right and duty a dead giveaway it doesn’t matter. If it actually did we certainly wouldn’t be allowed to participate in the dog and pony show.

And I thought mr. ellis’ pieces were included as satire…almost as good as bossange’s rants.
Ellis is a perfect example of the useful idiot communists love. He is concerned he will soon be irrelevant. So your ok with Biden pardoning his son….because no one is above the law. Just keep in mind they will never stop trying to regain the power, we the people, took away. Be wary and continue to shine light on the corruption.
He didn’t just pardon one or two convictions, he pardon 11 years worth of criminal activity that he is probably part of himself. Here we have a case of Dem/progs always manufacturing crimes committed by Trump with their projection, deep bench of corrupt lawyers prosecutors, law fare and the corrupt media. Then they defend the real criminal in the White House and his family which according to the real news had 20 shell companies and garnered millions from the big guys son Hunter. The next pardons will be the group closely connected to the perpetrators like his brother James, other relatives that received payments, Pelosi, Schumer and more. The pardon wasn’t about Hunter alone, it’s to protect the criminal family, IE all of them involved in the money laundering shake downs and where it all leads.
Ha ha: the smug regretting not their smugness, but their overplaying of it.
It’s a shame that a writer with such talent as Barkan has been so co-opted by the gaslight propaganda of the left and mainstream media that he continues to be an organ of their poison, if even in a backhanded way in this article.
While he probably has some semi-accurate perception of the failure of the left and Dems, it’s still hopelessly polluted by his anti-God and anti-patriot worldview.
The word “patriot” is derived from the Latin word for father. True patriots in the USA recognize the unspeakably profound faith, fortitude, genius, and courage of our founding fathers, as well as the heavenly Father upon whom their faith and vision were founded.
As long as he only complains about the abysmal failure of the Dems, while refusing to humbly and honestly recognize positive reasons why the MAGA platform appealed to such a broad spectrum of voters, he’s still Barkan up the wrong tree.

Barkan’s rant is just another elitist screed. In the end, he still blames Kabamala’s loss on all us racist bumpkins that are too stupid to know what’s good for us. There is no mention that just maybe Trump won because of his policy proposals. Personally, I don’t care if he is crude, as long as he follows through with his agenda.
It’s even worse than that, Paul. They are convinced that their campaign theatrics move hearts and minds. Because they despise their base. But these tactics don’t work anymore.
But if you believe they do then you waste a billion dollars paying Hollywood celebs to host you on their shows. You bribe the media to talk you up while they affect outrage at the “vulgar sexual assaulter and narcissist”.
They even try to shame you into voting for their candidate by calling you racist/sexist/assault apologist.
But they now know it has stopped working. So no more bribes, no more celeb placements. No more money. They’re lost.

Mr. Ellis, would you care to explain how the likes of P. Diddy Sean Combs, Harvey Weinstein, Anthony Weiner, Jeffrey Epstien are part and parcel, large donors, and were always front and center with Bill and Killary Clinton and Barack Obama? Tsk, Tsk. I believe the Democratic Party, by the fruits they don’t hide, are perfectly comfortable with vulgar, sexual assaulters, and narcissists. Whatever happened to that investigation of the Clinton Foundation and the State Department launched a decade go? I remember Chuck Todd reporting it on NBC News. What happened? Gaslight much? How about Hunter’s pardon? No one is above law, eh? The hypocrites are weeping, wailing, and gnashing their teeth.
So, Mr. Ellis Joe Biden wasn’t a narcissist? And if all women should be believed, shouldn’t Tara Reid be believed. Joe was a sexual assaulter and the worst president in American history. He was a bag man for Obama. Then his son was the bag man for him. He changed all of his political tenants to placate the progressive communists in the Democrat party. I love the fact that people like you still don’t get it because it will be yours and people that think like you their demise.
