Hartford CT woman arrested after returning

A Connecticut woman was arrested late Friday after police say large quantities of suspected drugs were discovered in a Barre Airbnb she had briefly rented — and she later returned to the property to retrieve items she left behind.
According to Barre City Police, officers were called at about 9:40 p.m. Jan. 31 after an Airbnb host reported finding suspected narcotics while cleaning a room from a renter who had arrived, then canceled her reservation and left.
Officers secured the items and conducted field tests, which indicated the substances were approximately 57.1 grams of cocaine, 46.09 grams of crack cocaine, and 13.44 grams of fentanyl, police said.
About two hours later, around 11:40 p.m., the host contacted police again to report that the renter had returned to reclaim property. Officers responded and took the woman into custody.
She was identified as Natasha Gonzalez, 30, of Hartford, Connecticut.
Police said an additional 11.6 grams of cocaine, 11.1 grams of fentanyl, and $1,160 in cash were found in Gonzalez’s possession.
Gonzalez was lodged at the Chittenden Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Washington Superior Court at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, to answer to charges of possession of cocaine, cocaine sales, and fentanyl trafficking.
