‘Dishonest mechanism’ helped Haley win, Trump leader says

Trump Vermont team leader Deb Billado said Republican leaders’ endorsement of Democratic crossover into the state primary helped give Nikki Haley her win Tuesday – but Trump will still get delegates to the National Convention.

By Guy Page

The head of the Donald Trump campaign team in Vermont is crying foul over Republican leaders’ endorsement of crossover Democrats voting for Nikki Haley in yesterday’s Republican presidential primary.

Haley defeated Trump 49% – 45%. Due to lack of a majority vote, the state’s 17 delegates will be split at the Republican Convention this summer. Those delegates will be selected at the state convention in May. It’s uncertain how many of the 17 will be dedicated to Haley and how many will go to Trump.

Trump team leader Deb Billado, a former state party chair, called the request by Gov. Phil Scott and others for Democrats to take a Republican ballot and vote for Haley a “dishonest mechanism.”

However, VT GOP Chair Paul Dame applauded Haley’s victory and Gov. Scott’s endorsement of her.

“Vermonters have always been independently-minded and tonight was no different,” Dame said. “They are proud to stand for what they believe is right, even if they stand alone. While President Trump has won his previous contests by large margins, Vermont primary voters instead chose Nikki Haley.

“Earlier this week Haley’s rally here in Vermont was focused on a positive vision of the future, getting our national debt under control and looking to a new generation of leaders, a message that obviously resonated with Vermont voters. It’s also clear that Gov. Phil Scott’s endorsement made a strong impact on the race. I am optimistic that he will use that endorsement power to help elect other Republicans here in Vermont this fall who will help support him and sustain his veto in the next legislative session,” Dame said.

But Billado sees Scott’s endorsement – especially his call for all Vermonters to ‘take a Republican ballot’ and vote for Haley – as a dilution of the actual Republican electorate.

“Republican leadership invited that very dishonest mechanism to get someone elected and nominated, only to have them drop out the next morning,” Billado said in a phone call to VDC Wednesday morning.

“If only Republicans had been allowed to vote, there’s no doubt Donald Trump would have won,” Billado said. She understands that opposing parties will sometimes cross over into the other’s primaries in order to weaken their chances in November. But in this case the VT GOP establishment invited the crossover – which Billado found disappointing.

“We’re out of synch with the rest of the nation.” Billado said. So far, Vermont will be the only one of the 50 states with any Haley delegates.

While it’s impossible to know how many Democrats crossed over, Billado believes the total exceeded the 3,025 margin separating Haley and Trump.

I worked the polls yesterday, I know the faces,” the longtime Essex Junction resident said. “  I know the faces. I had at least three people tell me that ‘we’re doing this to get the Orange Man out.’”

  1. You truly must have gotten roughed up an awful lot in gym during your teen years, Dame. Celebrating the split “victory” of this poser & disrupter candidate who possesses ZERO odds of becoming the GOP candidate for POTUS via your engineered & utterly dishonest, if not illicit campaign to undermine elections in Vermont is incredibly undemocratic and ignorant.

BTW, you must have been picked dead last in basketball, Scott.

    And, of course,: MAGA!!!!!!

Vermont is today the LAUGHING STOCK of the USA. Thanks, as always.

    • Didn’t the laughter start with Bernie becoming mayor, or was it the scrappy little dyke?

    • At town Hall meeting in Vermont, we witnessed the Uniparty protecting their own. Comrades making sure their comrades are still in power.

VTGOP is the ultimate expression on the uni-party. Tom below, will say it’s the “radical” fringe of the party, but it’s plainly false, we all saw the biggest, public demonstration…..it’s being laughed about across the nation and the world. Scott asking other uniparty members, known as VTDems to vote for the Uniparty candidate, Nikki Haley, who won the biggest uniparty area, Washington DC , who alos shills for the war machine.

The uniparty is in complete control of Vermont. They do not want a change, which is why they are doing what they are doing, the will of the uniparty/UN/New World Order…….is alive and well in Vermont.

We only need to embrace, you will own nothing and be happy, give us all your money and we’ll take care of you serfs….then everything will be alright. Go back to sleep fellow Vermonters, it’s not time for you to wake up yet…..we have more states to create just like here before you wake up.

    • Don’t forget to take another vaccine before bedtime…..go back to sleep Vermonters, it’s not time for you to wake up yet.

    • The old saying misery loves company is applicable here. Dame has done nothing only promote the splitting of the party ever since day 1 of his tenure. He too, is a first class loser and the Republican Party seems to love it. I have never in my life seen anything like it only the continuation of losing, and promotion of losing for some of the best candidates this state has ever seen.
      Go figure.

  2. The split outcome in Vermont is not worth obsessing over. We know the reason… it is because any voter can request a ballot from either party. Sometimes it is the republicans who cross over to make trouble, as I have done many times in the past, and sometime it works out the other way. The Governor’s comments and suggestions are being given too much credit, as those on the left were going to do this anyhow. The democrats did not have any credible alternatives to Biden on their ballot because the disingenuous cowards had already thrown Robert Kennedy out of their party. Liberal Vermonters think that they can influence the outcome of the republican primary just like we fantasize that Vermont fossil fuel and other energy regulations are going to save the planet from climate change. Vermont liberals in general suffer from a serious delusional disorder.

  3. Vermont Republicans will have no impact on the Presidential Election. So why bother talking about Trump who is despised by most Vermont voters. Trump will only hurt local Republican candidates.

Stop the nonsense and focus on what you could possible effect.. local elections and independents.

The party has been a mess for decades. Few real donors, which means few believers. Internal bickering, especially over a platform that majority of Vermont voters reject. Lack viable general election electable candidates. No infrastructure.

    Stop the martyrdom!

Trump winning a presidential election doesn’t mean that the Vermont Republican party still aren’t losers.

To regain relevance and impact, the Vermont Republican Party must:

    – Refocus its efforts on issues and policies that resonate with the majority of Vermonters.
    – Understand that without aligning with the preferences of the state’s electorate, the party risks becoming entirely irrelevant.
    – Prioritize getting elected and earning the support of the majority over maintaining a rigid and unpopular stance.

The party must choose to either stand for something meaningful to the majority of Vermont’s voters or risk standing for nothing and losing its place in the state’s political landscape.

    Vermont Republican Losing TWATS Strategy
Trump – running on Trumps shrinking coattails is detrimental to a Vermont General Election candidate.

Wall – running migration and building a wall is detrimental to a Vermont General Election candidate.

Abortion – abortion is a settled issue in running on removing it more the State’s constitution is detrimental to a Vermont General Election candidate.

Transgender & BLM – are not key issues for most Vermont voters, move on

Stolen Election and Anti Gov Scott- Majority of Vermonters believe the stolen election narrative is false.

    • So what you’re saying is if Republicans want to win, we have to:

      – Forget about the murdering of the unborn…
      – Forget about securing the border…
      – Forget about the mutilation of children in the name of gender ideology…
      – Forget about fair elections…

So basically roll over and become a Democrat. Do I have the right, Mr. Arnold?

If so, you seem like a bit of a “TWAT” yourself (to use your own vernacular.)

    • You are known for you divisive, crude and lying nastiness, Tom Arnold. I remember your foulness from VTDigger. Where do you get off saying “Trump is despised by most Vermont voters”? If that was then case then why did democrats have to cheat to get a win for the rino/dem bimbette Haley? You do not speak for the majority of Vermonters, you can’t even speak for yourself with any intelligence or literacy.

    • if Trump is despised by majority of Vermonters how come he got 45% of the votes.

    • If you don’t have guts to stand up for the best president in recent history Donald Trump then you don’t belong in the republican party in the state of vermont.

When you keep picking second best that’s exactly what you get.

Vermonters need to stand up support president Trump and make sure he wins office in november

Without president Trump we are cooked

    • There indeed are conservative voters in Vermont. More than you apparently realize, but too few to counter the progressive democrat socialist machine. That will take generations to turn around, if ever. Vermont is also a failed state. It cannot exist without federal funding to support the plethora of socialist policies and programs. phil scott is but a caretaker governor, he can only do so much-and most importantly can only take so much. There’s a reason Jim Douglas stepped down.
Burlington’s mayoral race outcome verified that Chittenden county is not done with progressive socialism and totalitarianism from the most radical of the so called progressives. That outcome will further drag Chittenden county down into a failed social and economic morass. Dystopia is the next step.
Suck it up, or get out of Vermont. There’ll be no shortage of insanity next biennium either.

    • Re: Vermont Republicans will have no impact on the Presidential Election. So why bother talking about Trump who is despised by most Vermont voters. Trump will only hurt local Republican candidates.

What local Republican candidates? The Republican candidates that did not support him will be the Republican candidates I will not support during the general election.

  4. just pay your 20 percent increase on your property taxes/// you will own nothing and you will be happy/// please explain how happy you are///

  5. Well, at least we can all agree that Vermont is relevant in the news cycle, and we all should enjoy her 5 minutes of national fame. It will be forgotten soon enough – leaving us all staring and gasping at the increases in our energy costs, property taxes, and general cost of living. Get ready folks, the fat lady is backstage clearing her voice.

  6. Vermonters are “not afraid to stand alone” and “will make tough independent choices” by voting for the hand-picked candidate of the bipartisan DC war machine–basically, Dick Cheney in CFM shoes. The humor is astounding.

  7. Oh, yeah, everyone in my Town Clerk’s office who came in while I was voting asked for a Republican ballot. It is a ridiculously libby town. Looks like 70,000 voted in the Republican primary and 60,000 in the Democratic. In Vermont? LOL. Oh, the two former residents who still get ballots to my address, one from over a decade ago, are still on the list. Can’t wait for the dirty looks when I actually vote in person next Fall. It’s going to be worse than 2020.

    • Regarding previous residents who get ballots at your address, or are shown on the check-list at your address and shouldn’t be, they all should be removed from your town’s check-list. To make sure your town’s check-list is up to date, speak with your town clerk and make sure they are sent a “challenge” letter. They can then be automatically “purged” if they either do not respond to the challenge letter, or if they remain “inactive” (do not vote) for 2 general elections. Stay on this and be sure your town clerk is doing their job; it’s your town clerk’s responsibility, by law, to keep your town’s check-list up to date. Your town’s BCA also has a role, too.

  8. Dear sweet Lord is this State a haven of goobers. Mr. Dame has a strong future in the unemployment line.

  9. Just one more comment. Just like S. Lowry commented, Haley won because tons of VT dems voted for her. When I was voting yesterday it was funny how many people were asking for Republican ballots in my liberal town.

    • Yes, because she is a Democrat. I don’t mean in the old school sense when they picketed GE’s weapons plant in Burlington. I mean the current version. Pro-war, pro-censorship, pro-govt snooping, pro-lockdown, anti-worker.

  10. “ As the Wall Street Journal reported, Haley will deliver brief remarks in the Charleston area around 10 AM ET. This decision comes after her catastrophic failure on Super Tuesday, where she only won the state of Vermont thanks to Democrat votes.”. Haley is gone and so are her chances for 2028.

Amazing how many democRATS and RINOs in Vermont voted for endless wars so high food chain politicians can get wealthy er.

  11. The people mocking Vermont on social media today (think: Massachusetts going for McGovern in 1972) know nothing about this backstory and probably aren’t interested. At any rate, Nagaina is gone today, and the state humiliated itself for nothing. So proud of my little town and many other towns in the area for voting Trump. That is the real Vermont — the real backstory. He’s unstoppable, isn’t he — a force of nature like Teddy Roosevelt. I will be sure to send President Trump (“The Sequel”) a note to this effect plus the town-by-town primary results map this January. Maybe he’ll come and visit us.

  12. “Moderate” Republicans cheering on one of the most rabid war hawks and worker haters out there – Sheesh. Dems, too. What is wrong with these people?!

    • It’s an accurate measure of the cognitive dissonance and literal insanity gripping them.

  13. A vote for Haley was a wasted vote. So much for integrity. She dropped out of the race.

  14. Whew!

Voting in Vermont is like making love to Lolly… the inflatable teenage plastic dolly.

  15. When the Rino gov. Speaks a few listen. He was out of line as a proclaimed Republican. Run ‘em into the wall next time around.

  16. Does it concern anyone that the way Vermont voted was EXACTLY the same as the DC swamp? They didn’t vote for Haley they voted against Trump, there is a difference…

  17. Haley’s win in Vermont will have about as much affect on the Presidential election as Vermont will have on the global climate. Vermont isn’t leading anything . . . we are an outlier. I looked at a map of the voting results (green circles we Haley and red were Trump) and all Vermont was red aside from a circle around Burlington, Montpelier, Peacham/Danville, and Elmore. Speaks volumes of the voter districting problems we face.

  18. My groomer, M*rin* Br*wn, explained this tactic to me.

  19. The VT GOP is no longer a Republican party. This is the reason in the down ballots we always are losing. The Left has a super majority, and it will not change. Conservatives are leaving VT to find more Republicans. I know of 4 family’s that left VT for TN,FL and SC. I am in the process of looking for a redder state. We knew going into this primary that Trump was going to take the majority. We all knew Haley was not going to be the nominee, so my question is why waste your vote Governor Scott and other RINO’s. After 45 years in VT I am ashamed of my state.

    • Yes Mark I have been saying this for years. We need to let the communists have this place let the ship sink. Hopefully leaving in December with my family and my money.

  20. Yes, and this is why the Vermont GOP is so lame, even the head of our state the so-called republican Governor, promoting a candidate that doesn’t stand a snowball chance of becoming the GOP candidate for the country, wishful thinking but like always Vermont dragged another loser, yes the loser of her ” home state ” across Vermont’s finish line, and within twenty hours she folds up her campaign !!

Outstanding Vermont GOP, for showing how inept you are, feelings instead of looking for the salvation of the country, next you’ll vote for Joe, because of your
Trump derange syndrome…………….. how pathetic !!

Ever wonder why the state is in such dire straits, leadership that doesn’t lead !!

  21. message to m. donka/// your state is not to blame/// the crooks to blame have names, phone numbers, and an address/// good luck finding another state

    • I left VT and am much happier, and my BP is lower, now that I no longer am accosted on a daily basis with the virtue signaling and insanely self-destructive legislative agenda. Godspeed, M. Donka.

Enjoy your 20% annual tax hikes, Mday44yahoo.

  22. So now it is clear to all of the USA that Vermont is a state where the rino governor condones and encourages election fraud. I sincerely hope Trump’s government in 2024 absolutely refuses to send a penny of federal aid to Vermont. Not one penny.

  23. Hey Dame you are Degusting to say the least!! Dame!! Time to step Down you Swamp Rat!! The same goes to phony Rino Phil Scott! Degusting!! Republican in name only!! YOU RINO!!
    Get-R-Done Patriots Get-R-Done Donald J Trump Get-R-Done👍 🇺🇸 🗽🇺🇸👍

  24. It saddened and angered me to see our Governor Phil Scott begging independents and democrats to cross over and vote for Haley just to keep Trump from winning. And why? Because he hates Trump but he has never told us why he hates Trump. I don’t understand where all this hatred comes from. It is one thing for a voter to cross over and vote on the republican ticket because it is a legal thing to do. It is quite another thing for a republican Governor to instruct democrats to spoil the republican primary. I had no respect for Gov. Scott before this and I have even less respect for him now.

    • There is a requisite amount of pandering to the left that a present-day Republican Governor of Vermont must engage in to maintain himself in office and as America’s “most popular Governor”. Even with the democrat super-majority hanging over his head like a Sword of Damocles, he is the only significant factor preventing Vermont from descending completely into the abyss of leftist authoritarianism. It saddens and angers me too but I would be much more saddened by ANYTHING promoted by Gov. Weinberger, Gov. Baruth, Gov. Krowinski ad nauseum…

    • Ruth, the reason scotty boy hates Trump is scotty boy is part of the deep state swamp!!!!

  25. Fun fact. Almost 17% of those that did vote in the dem primary decided that Biden was so terrible they would vote for anybody else. Write-in’s included celebrities Taylor Swift and Dewayne (the Rock ) Johnson. Governors Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer got votes. Even Canadian Pierre Polviere got a vote.

  26. I took a look at the election results on the VT Secretary of State’s website last night and it really illustrates the reality. A third or less of registered voters participate in the primary/Republican primary. The towns where Haley received the majority of votes tend to be the communities of the rich, well-off, the people who are likely not the modern Republican base and typically viewed as Democrat/liberal communities. Regardless of these voters are “Republican” or not- it shows the class interests at work. The rich trying to keep the working class American shut out of the system- the working class Americans who overwhelmingly view Pres. Trump as their champion and representative of their values or are able to project their values onto. His struggles against the corrupt beast system are our struggles. I guarantee the people who don’t participate in the primaries either don’t know about it, don’t know they can get time off work to vote, or don’t feel engaged by the electoral system or the VT GOP and likely support or are sympathetic to Trump I would gander. Killington, Norwich, Richmond, Shelburne, etc all more populated communities where the rich, the well-off, the liberals, and the transplants congregate. So a minority of a minority really voted for Haley – this is not representative of reality in my opinion. Take Back Vermont. Trump 2024. Make America Great Again!
    -Ryan Roy

  27. I have resigned as a town chair. This Republican Party doesn’t deserve my efforts any longer. I have been driven away.

  28. Vermont is a laughing stock .I am embarrassed to say my roots are from Vermont .I use to be so proud of this state . Two years out I was a democrat that is until being a democrat was changed into be a communist .

  29. Vermont sticks out like a sore thumb to the whole Nation and it’s about time to have a Big Light Shine on the Corruption in this state. Let all the Conservatives, MAGA Patriots from all around the Nation take a good look at Vermont and see the Corruption and what we’ve had to deal with every single day for decades! Truth always comes out, Truth will Always Prevail! I believe it’s way past the time for Vermont to implode and when it does, many of these High-In-The-Pie Marxist, Globalist Uni-Party Members and Wannabes will be the ones singing a different tune. Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

  30. Vermont made the national news cycle for picking a loser. Vermont was trending on X due to odd reporting of vote tallies that changed similar to 2020. The pundits reported the Democrats attempted to pull the same shenanigans in other States, but those States declined. They likely know they would face prison terms, a well-armed, informed electorate, or loss of reputation and business.

All in all, the Vermont Democrats and RINOs depantsed themselves in front of the nation and the world, yet again. They have showed, beyond a shadow of a doubt, they have nothing to stand on as far as a platform a majority of voters will support. They have to cheat, be blatantly unethical and dishonest, or they can’t win. Good job showing America that Vermont is a collective of ignorant malcontents and freaks of misery. Expect more of these imbeciles to pour in for free rent and EBT cards. It is all we have to offer and all we are known for across the nation – idiocracy indeed!

  31. In past general elections when I voted I would take the time to make sure I would vote for Republicans on the ballot in hope of getting some kind of representation of my values. This November I will be voting for only one Republican candidate and that will be Trump. The rest will be left blank because as far as I’m concerned there are no Republican candidates for any position in VT that will represent me or my values. I didn’t leave the Republican Party, the Republican Party left all of us who are conservative.

“A people who elect corrupt politicians, impostors, thieves and traitors are not victims but accomplices”. – GEORGE ORWELL

    • Sorry to hear this.

I’ve heard from many center Republicans who say and feel as if they can participate and reengage.

I asked why they disengaged. The answers have basically the same, the Vermont Republican party was being dominated by extremists and those extremists’ views are unelectable in the state.

So if we lose a few extremists but pickup a bunch of people who will engage, who will run, who are electable, who will volunteer, we’ll come out ahead in the long.

Change takes time is like planting a seed and waiting for it to grow into a tree. Just as a seed requires the right conditions, time, and care to sprout and mature, significant changes need patience, effort, and the right environment to develop and bear fruit.

    • Tom there are no extremist views in the republican party, they are completely RINO, this is a bold face lie. Look who chair the positions, they voted for Dame, is that extremist. They allow Phil Scott to remain on the ticket is that extremist?

There is vocal part of the party, they are a minority, they are not represented by more than what 20% of the party? The party is lead and formed by moderates (which is being too kind) for decades……the party IS modeled after them.

Vermont is the ONLY “moderate” party in the us, fashioned after the other “moderate” party located in Washington DC

They don’t even have a voting list of Republicans in Washinton county, home of our governor, the capital and the party. That’s like having a restaurant with NO FOOD.

The party loves where it is, ineffective, do nothing, otherwise it would change. The party could be modeled after Scott and Dame….the “winning combination according to you” but it’s not, is it?

The Party is dominated by DAME and SCOTT…..so why don’t they follow and engage?

  32. There are commentators on this site that are of the opinion that Nikki Scott the 1st Eunuch King of Castrati is a better alternative to a Governor Weinberger, Baruth, LaLonde, Ashe or any of the other Commiecrats that aspire to rule over us. Well after this past primary fiasco there is absolutely no difference between any of them. They are the same multi headed Hydra of Greek mythology.

People like Deb Billado are fighting a losing battle they never will win, and it is time for her, and the people left in the VT Republican Party that still have constitutional conservative values to leave the Vermont Republican Party to their own devices and start a new party in Vermont. Call it what you want, the VT Conservative Party, The VT Constitutional Party, but a party where we don’t have to vote for people that no longer represent us.
Let the chips fall where they may, win or Lose at least we can vote our conscience and be able to look ourselves in the mirror. This lesser of two evils stuff isn’t getting it.
If a new party would be created, you would see the present VT Republicans go right over to what they really are Progressive Communists.

“Learn to distinguish the difference between errors of knowledge and breaches of morality. An error of knowledge is not a moral flaw, provided you are willing to correct it; only a mystic would judge human beings by the standard of an impossible, automatic omniscience. But a breach of morality is the conscious choice of an action you know to be evil, or a willful evasion of knowledge, a suspension of sight and of thought. That which you do not know, is not a moral charge against you; but that which you refuse to know, is an account of infamy growing in your soul. Make every allowance for errors of knowledge; do not forgive or accept any break of morality.”
    AYN RAND

  33. I felt that I had to let the Vermont Republican Party know how I feel so I sent them the following email on their website. I will be patiently awaiting their response.

I am writing to inform you that since the Vermont Republican Party saw fit to help the progressive communists of this state to cross over and vote for Nikki Haley just to thwart the election of Donald Trump I will no longer vote for any Republican candidate for any state or federal office unless that candidate identifies as MAGA. In past general elections when I voted I would take the time to make sure I would vote for Republicans on the ballot in hope of getting some kind of representation of my values. This November I will be voting for only one Republican candidate and that will be Trump or candidates that are MAGA Republicans. The rest will be left blank because as far as I’m concerned there are no Republican candidates for any position in Vermont that will represent me or my values. I didn’t leave the Republican Party, the Republican Party left all of us who are conservative. Conservatives like Deb Billado are fighting a losing battle they never will win, and it is time for her, and the people left in the VT Republican Party that still have constitutional conservative values to leave the Vermont Republican Party to their own devices and start a new party in Vermont.
If a new party would be created, you would see the present Vermont Republicans go right over to what they really are, Progressive Communists that they are no different from.

    • I did exactly that in the last election. I was first in line to vote in my town and the machine would not accept my ballot. It took three tries before it went thru.

    • The Vermont GOP is non-committal. We should all write in non-committed this election.

They don’t care that nobody is running in the party.
They don’t care that nobody gives them any money.
They don’t care that candidates get used as cannon fodder.
They don’t care that leadership votes and supports the other team’s agenda, which is not defending our republic.
      They don’t care about affordability
      They don’t care about crimes
They don’t care about their voters
They don’t’ care about the school financing mess
They don’t care they are a super minority
They don’t care about addressing Vermont issues
They don’t care about being effective.
They don’t care about the housing issue facing the entire state
They don’t care about the censorship within almost all platforms
They don’t care about the corruption within

They care about staying in power.
Why do I say this? It’s the only thing they are willing to defend and take action on, protecting at all costs, even if means telling the opposing side to vote for swamp creature Haley.

See they are the same team. Swamp team, uniparty. Which is why Scott felt so comfortable telling the world to vote for the biggest swamp creatures on planet earth, Joe Biden and Nikki Haley……United Nations Puppets, just like Scott himself. Build Back Better, you will own nothing and be happy.

We witnessed swamp creatures protecting their power base and comrades. Plain and simple.

  34. First off, this is nothing new. Both sides do and have done it. It’s called strategic voting or protest voting, in either case each person is free to vote how they will. As long as no one has been coerced by threat or bribe, it’s perfectly legit and fair play. For those hoping for a Trump victory in VT, I say dream on. Your hope lies with the rest of the country to bring him back into the White House, not the majority of voters here. As for me, I’m not a democrat and l left the Republican Party a while back. I pulled a democrat ballot and wrote someone in, why? because I wanted to make a statement, which I did. Now everyone can jump on me for being part of the problem, but I say God is absolutely in control and whoever we get it is His sovereign will whether we like it or not. There is only One Man who can fix our issues and He already did that a bit over 2000 years ago.

    • Does this mean the Vermont electorate votes based on personalities and convincing platitudes rather than sound policy? My vote would be in favor of law and order, anti-open borders, sound fiscal policies, financial accountability, and growing an economy that benefits all, not just a few. I also don’t want my tax (aka ransom) money paid to foreign countries to their benefit them over the USA and any foreign country looking to trade, must pay equal tariffs – no more freebies to Asian Pacific nations. If Trump is the only one not selling out the USA or its People, I guess he’s the only one. If there are any others out there, please stand up! I will vote for them.

    • It seems as if some people are under the sad impression that Vermont will vote for Trump.

Look at Trump’s percent of Vermont votes in his past 2 runs.

My point is that any Vermont candidate running as a Republican and openly endorsing Trump is doomed in a general election.

Look at Malloy’s numbers they were even more dismal and with abortion a hot topic at the Federal level, he’s toast on this issue. Although, he’s been on both sides.

You can have an impact on local elections but not the Presidential.

Take Prop 5, which is done and settled, only 22% of us voted, No.

22% of us can’t win an election.

Lets win some local elections so we can have a positive impact on the state and then maybe, we can win a US House or US Senate seat.

    • True enough.

We all need to change our direction and focus and suddenly we’d be blessed.

Our country and certain Vermont is covered in the spirit of Division, Destruction and Lies (deception) In quest for power and money.

We only need to be filled with a spirit the produces Love, Joy and Peace…….our people don’t know him, much less follow him. Yuri Bezmanov, who was trained in the art of Subverting a country, taking over a country from within without firing a shot, gave the answer for stopping the madness.

There is one man. Funny how all roads lead to him. All forgiveness, all blessings, all love. A much better way for sure.

Question, Who do Marxists hate the most? What are they trying to tear down the most? What is their government trying to replace? What religion do they hate the most?

This gives you an idea of whom we’re truly dealing with and how to solve the problem, Yuri even states it..

  35. Neil Johnson, thanks for that. The thing that scares me the most these days is how easily so many people latch onto a person man/woman and think they’re going to fix all our problems. It’s an absolute mistake to do that, people (all) are susceptible to corruption. That said, there are people who can be used to shift a direction, but we must avoid treating anyone as our savior…except, well… Our Savior. I like a lot of what Trump did, didn’t care for him as person, but hey, he wasn’t running for Mr. congeniality. I feel he dropped the ball regarding covid and his promotion of the vax (so called). He was wrong to promote it IMO, he was either duped or worse, either way his greatest weakness is his inability (or refusal) to say “ hey, I missed it on that one, sorry”. EVERYONE misses it now and then, it’s OK admit it, move on. Just my thoughts.

  36. To the Brothers & Sisters in Christ Jesus: 1 John 4:1-6 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Ephesians 6:12-13 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
