Driver flees, but caught in Grand Isle

A Grand Isle man is due in Vermont Superior Court in North Hero on Thursday after he reportedly used his car to strike a deputy sheriff and fled the scene Wednesday night, Vermont State Police said.
Kevin Marx, 36, was stopped for a traffic violation on U.S. 2 near Vermont 314 (Ferry Road) about 8:10 p.m. and was issued a ticket by a Grand Isle County Deputy Sheriff, officials said.
After he was released, Marx reportedly turned his car around on U.S. 2 and aimed for the deputy sheriff as he headed back to his marked police cruiser pulled over on the road, officials said.
The deputy, Sgt. Nicholas Pillsbury of Essex Junction, was struck by the car and dragged off the road toward a tree line, where it stopped, police said. Pillsbury was discharged from the hospital this morning, state police said.
Marx reportedly fled on foot from the scene while the injured deputy remained pinned under the 2022 Subaru Forester, police said.
It took about 30 minutes for first responders to free the deputy from under the car, police said. He was taken to the UVM Medical Center with head and chest injuries, officials said. The officer was listed in stable condition.
The suspect, Marx, was taken into custody without incident at his home shortly before 11 p.m. by members of the Vermont State Police, Grand Isle County Sheriff’s Department, Milton Police and Vermont Fish & Game Warden Service, police said.
Authorities said they knew little about Marx, who may have lived previously in Colchester.
Investigators were processing Marx late Wednesday at the state police barracks in St. Albans.
Multiple units from the Vermont State Police and numerous local police agencies were involved in the search for Marx.
The VSP’s Crash Reconstruction Team and Bureau of Criminal Investigations are taking the lead in the case.
Grand Isle County State’s Attorney Doug DiSabito said he told police that he wanted Marx held overnight without bail pending his court arraignment, but noted the final decision about bail is up to the judge on call that night.
DiSabito, who responded to the scene, said he believes he will be filing various charges, including attempted homicide, but will wait for the state police paperwork to determine the final charges.
He called the conduct of the driver “outrageous.”
U.S. 2 remained closed for several hours, but was expected to be reopened early Thursday. A detour was in place.

The state of Tennessee recently passed a law that all violent acts are to be followed by the release of the perpetrators prescriptions because of the direct correlations between mind altering psychiatric (and other) drugs and the increase in these heinous violent acts.
The pharma profiteers do not want us to know what their drugs are doing.
VT ranks #6 in prescribing the most dangerous of these drugs to our tiny population.
If you check the VT Digger article from DEC 2024, you will see that the fearless leaders of VT arranged for kickbacks from profiteering big pharma if federal funds are used to pay for them (Medicaid and Medicare).
I tried to warn state officials 5 years ago but it fell upon deaf ears.
These drugs list RAGE, confusion, lack of compassion/empathy, lack of impulse control, homicide and suicide on the inserts, and if you look into the less frequently reported “side effects” you will see why this insanity is rapidly increasing. One class of these drugs was invented to cause “amnesia” during surgery. Others cause mania and psychosis. This is so common that one class of drugs causes RAGE so often that there is a term for it; “Benzo Rage”. And do to the amnesia these drugs cause, people often do not recall committing these heinous crimes.
The lunatics are not just running the asylum, they run our medical system and the state….likely all of the states in the country. They run congress. Then they will use this as an excuse to enact increasing gun control but as you can see, guns are not the issue. Chemically induced madness is the issue.
We wont ever find out why this guy behaved so unhinged because HIPAA protects the pharmaceutical industry. But the results are pouring in consistently that unhinged behavior begins with mind-altering prescriptions.
We always had guns in this country and we always had a small percentage of people who had some “mental illness”, but we never had this kind of consistent, senseless violence.
This all began in the late 1980s when the medical industrial complex began the insane push to get everyone they could on mind altering drugs that have tragically been pushed onto the market with only weeks of biased “testing”. Then we became one of two countries oin the planet who allow advertising for drugs (often false advertising) on television and everywhere else.
Now these drugs are so ubiquitous they are in our waterways and drinking water supplies. They find it is fish and other food sources. So many people are consuming mind altering drugs without realizing it.
This is why RFK Jr., Secretary of HHS, is currently researching the causal relationships between violence and these drugs that are now passed out like candy without any diagnostic testing whatsoever. They even prescribe these dangerous drugs that cause permanent brain shrinkage and damage to pregnant women and children.
The drugs and the diagnoses have zero basis in science. But since pharma is the number one funding source for cable and network news and all legacy media (including NPR and PBS), you need to do you own research to find the truth. Do the deep dives for yourself and you will see. Start with Dr. David Healy, Dr Josef Witt Doerring, Dr Peter Breggin, and Dr Joanna Montcrieff for the peer-reviewed science and research that the profiteers do not want you to see.
You can find the peer-reviewed research, books or easily find their interviews on Youtube and then decide for yourself. Find out what the consequences are for “compensatory chemical changes” are and what tragedy of akithisia truly is. They will take 8-25 years from the users lifespan.
Your “doctor” wont tell you because the medical schools and medical journals are all funded by pharma too. They also have been indoctrinated.
People don’t need dangerous and often-addicting drugs to get over a bad divorce, a death in the family, a violent assault or car accident, a stressful job, or if you are homesick your freshman year in college. Humans are not ill because they have appropriate emotions during normal yet difficult life experiences. We all need a healthy lifestyle, healthy food, and community support.
