A school bus carrying 10 students and a coach slid off an Interstate 89 exit ramp Friday evening in Royalton, but no injuries were reported.
Vermont State Police said the bus, returning from a dance recital, left the roadway on the southbound Exit 3 off-ramp in wet, slushy conditions. The driver, Brittany Pontier, 26, of Bennington, was able to reenter the roadway, and the bus continued on its way.

DUI arrests:
– Andrew Yarema, 44, of Concord, was arrested on a second-offense DUI after troopers responded to a motor vehicle complaint on U.S. Route 2 in Lunenburg on Jan. 17. Police said Yarema showed indicators of impairment and was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing. He is cited to appear in Essex County Superior Court on Jan. 20 at 8:30 a.m.
– Michael Hemond, 54, of Richford, was arrested early Jan. 18 following a traffic stop near Troy and Liberty streets in Richford. Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks reported signs of impairment during the stop. Hemond was cited to appear in Franklin County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Jan. 27 at 8 a.m. on a first-offense DUI charge.
– Diego Tutillofaringo, 23, of South Burlington, was arrested Jan. 17 after troopers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 northbound in South Burlington. Police reported multiple indicators of impairment. Tutillofaringo was charged with first-offense DUI and violation of conditions of release after troopers determined he was prohibited by court order from consuming alcohol or operating a motor vehicle. He was processed at the Williston Barracks and released on citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Feb. 5 at 8:30 a.m.
A stalking charge was filed following a citizen dispute in St. Johnsbury:
Timothy Egan, 47, of Lunenburg, was cited for stalking after Vermont State Police said they received multiple reports concerning his behavior over several weeks. Egan was released and ordered to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Feb. 23 at 8:30 a.m.
All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
