A Washington, D.C. health care equity leader has been named head administrator for the state Medicaid health insurance program and state-based exchange for health insurance.
Appointed by Gov. Phil Scott, DaShawn Groves is the new commissioner of the Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA), effective September 3.
Groves most recently worked as the Special Projects Officer to the Medicaid Director at the Department of Health Care Finance for the District of Columbia, where his work focused on embedding system improvements and health equity into departmental priorities. Prior to that, he was a Lead Project Manager at the Health Care Reform and Innovation Administration, where he designed and tested innovative models of care and payment among Medicaid providers.
Groves received his Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University, his Master of Public Health degree from Emory University and Doctor of Philosophy in Health Policy from the George Washington University.

Why should these young ppl who work and LIE on applications be able to get away with it?

Question for the panel: How is your Medicare/Medicaid/Healthcare plans working out for you? Are the costs manageable and affordable? Are you getting the care, treatments, and access when needed? Is this the man that staged and funded free healthcare to illegals?
Question for the VTGOP: Phil appointed a District of Columbia Corporation DEI NGO leftwinger to manage Vermont healthcare access….is this the conservative way to contain costs and improve the system? The doom loop continues unabated.
