Burlington man arrested for “lewd and lascivious” act
Police responded to an incident on Cherry Street in Burlington in the afternoon on January 5 where a man was reportedly, “conducting a lewd and lascivious act.”
The man was identified as Daniel Podell, 59, of Burlington. Police did not reveal what the specific act was. Additionally, police learned that Podell had an active warrant for two felony counts of lewd and lascivious conduct.
When police attempted to take Podell into custody, he resisted violently and reportedly kicked a police officer. Police eventually subdued him and took him into custody for lewd and lascivious conduct, assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and violation of conditions of release.
