Noah Young

A New Hampshire man is facing multiple charges following a Vermont State Police investigation into the sexual assault of a minor in Waterford between July 2023 and July 2024.

Police say Noah Young, 23, of Epsom, N.H., committed two counts of sexual assault of a juvenile, domestic assault, and possession of illicit material. The investigation began July 11, 2024, after a report to the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the St. Johnsbury barracks.

Young was located in New Hampshire by U.S. Marshals and arrested on a warrant. He appeared Aug. 7, 2025, in Caledonia County Criminal Court, where he was held on $2,000 bail. On Aug. 14, Young reported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for fingerprints and photographs.

In a separate case, Michael Holden, 36, formerly of Lyndonville and now of Newport, was sentenced in Vermont Superior Court in Bennington to one to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to two felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials — second offense. According to the Vermont State’s Attorney’s Office, Judge Jennifer Barrett ordered the sentence to run consecutively to Holden’s current prison term and required him to register as a sex offender for life.
