As Central Vermont recovers from its second July 10 flood in two years, a Creemee Cast on the Vermont Daily Chronicle YouTube and Facebook page next Tuesday will examine the possible role of geoengineering in changing climate.
On July 16, live from Bean Studios in Northfield, Creemee Cast will be featuring Our Geoengineering Age researcher Ian Baldwin, Environmental historian Rob Williams, and the editor/publisher of the Vermont Daily Chronicle, Guy Page.
The goal is to specifically address concerns about Geoengineering. Beginning at 2 PM, the podcast will break down Geoengineering: the causes, the whys and the why nots.

Ian Baldwin, Publisher and lifelong sky observer
Best known as the co-founder of Vermont publishing company Chelsea Green, Ian Baldwin has been a lifelong observer of the skies who interest in geoengineering was piqued after seeing strange cloud formations and long-lasting ‘contrails’ in the Vermont skies.
A lifelong birdwatcher and sky observer, in 2005 Ian started to notice peculiar cloud formations and long-lasting ‘contrails’ in Vermont (where he’d been living since 1982). Lacking the requisite technical background, he kept his observations more or less to himself until 2014, when a friend introduced him to Marvin Herndon, an Earth scientist who was concerned about long-lasting contrails clogging San Diego’s formerly clear-blue skies. Herndon and Baldwin began a close collaboration via Skype, helping each other formulate ideas and write about a subject officially termed a ‘conspiracy theory’—variously subjected to disinformation, silence, or ridicule in scientific, political, environmental, and corporate media circles.
Since 2015 Ian and Marvin, joined by Mark Whiteside in 2016, have published 40 scientific articles and non-scientific essays about geoengineering and its radical consequences for human and environmental health and Earth’s climate system.
Ian was born in New York City and grew up in then-rural Mt. Kisco, NY. He graduated from Columbia University with a BA in English in 1962 after taking a year off to travel around the world. After a tour of duty in the National Guard’s basic training at Fort Dix, NJ, he worked for Holt, Rinehart & Winston as editor of biological sciences in its college division. He then worked as director of publications for the Institute for World Order (now the Institute for World Policy) where he set up an international publishing program for its pioneering multinational social science research program, the World Order Models Project.
While studying for an MA in psychology (awarded 1980) in Goddard College’s off-campus graduate program, completing a year’s internship at Manhattan Psychiatric Center, Ian worked as a grant writer for the Environmental Defense Fund. In 1982 he and his wife Margo left New York City for Vermont, where in 1984 they founded Chelsea Green Publishing Company, specializing in books about conservation and the environment, organic agriculture and gardening, alternative energy and shelter, and the politics of living sustainably.
Williams interest in Geoengineering began in 2016
A lifetime lover of the outdoors, Dr. Rob Williams earned his BA in environmental history from Princeton University (1985) and his MA (1995) and PhD (2000) in environmental history from the University of New Mexico. Along with Ian Baldwin, he is the co-founder of the print journal Vermont Commons: Voices of Independence and now Vermont Independent, an online decentralist news journal devoted to championing political resistance and greater resilience for our Green Mountain communities. Long a watcher of the skies, Williams first became aware of geoengineering after reading and editing Ian Baldwin’s initial essay on the subject in 2016, and beginning his own systematic observations of the sky, as well as investigations into the clandestine military history of geoengineering as part of his work in researching “Our Geoengineering Age.”
In addition to writing and editing hundreds of feature stories at Vermont Commons/Independent since 2005 and publishing wide variety of book chapters on new digital media and communications, Williams has published four books – Most Likely To Secede (Vermont Independence Press, 2012), Media Education For A Digital Generation (Routledge, 2016), The Post (Truth) World: Fighting Fake News With A 21st Century Propaganda Model For Our Digital Age (Vermont Independence Press, 2019), and Media Mojo: Comm-On Power Tools and Strategic Storytelling Strategies For Our Digital Age (Vermont Independence Press, 2020). He is currently researching a book about the history of yaks.

Climate modification (geo-engineering) by humans began with the control of fire more than 1 million years ago in Africa, if not earlier. It continued with the Neolithic development of agriculture 9000 years ago, if not sooner. It was used in socio-political conflicts by the Romans during the Third Punic War against Carthage, (149–146 BCE) when Scipio salted the fields in northern Africa to wipe out any prospect of Carthaginian survival. In the 20th century our governments, in a warped attempt to think well of themselves, continue the conceit using current technology to manipulate the environment as though they were wiser than God, despite the fact that nearly 2000 scientists, researchers, and others have signed a declaration released by Climate Intelligence (CLINTEL) stating that there is no climate emergency, that, if anything, we should invest our precious resources on climate adaptation, not mitigation.
Unfortunately, today, not only does the misguided hubris continue, the current boogeyman happens, ironically, to be CO2, one of the most important compounds supporting the survival of all life on planet Earth. Go figure.
A few days ago, I wrote a comment about witnessing the milky, white, billowy substance spewing from jets blanketing the sky here. Yesterday, the rain came down in buckets and flooded areas, again, a year later to the day? Whatever was floating around up there is now on the ground, in the ground, and on your garden plants. Seems everytime they spray, it is within a day or two of forecasted rain. Beryl hit Houston on Sunday, and washes out a landlock State four days later?
Also, has anyone noticed there are no earthworms around? After heavy rain, usually see them come out in droves. I haven’t seen any in my area at all – not even this Spring. Weird huh?
For the record: When it’s hot (especially over 80 deg. F.), earth worms tend to stay deeper in the soil.
I enjoyed listening to Williams and Baldwin speak on a previous Creemee Cast and look forward to hearing more.
Questions from a long-time canary in the coal mine about the geoengineering (since 1991):
What do ‘controlled weather’ forecasts from the Fairbanks Museum of Science refer to?
What is the chemical makeup of the aerosols? Do different applications use different chemical makeup?
How do these chemicals interact and effect that which is living?
i.e. why are trees wilting, and where there is a lot of aluminum and sulfate use, fires? How do these chemical affect insects, birds… the food chain? How does it affect the water everything living depends as a carbon based lifeform, to live on?
What companies/pilots are being paid to disperse these carcinogenic pollutants on all of us? Qui bono? What IS the agenda?
Is this for military application?
What does 5G and Starlink have to do with geoengineering?
What does HAARP have to do with heating the atomosphere, and how many HAARPs are deployed around the world now?
Are ships on the ocean dispersing chemical particulates for geoengineering? What companies are involved?
What states have taken steps to opt our of geoengineering, and is that really possible in a HOMEOSTATIC system like earth’s?
I recommend looking into ZEROENGINEERING with many many many resources, specifically white papers, for research. There is also a website called THE VAULT that has photocopies of the original gov’t documents and patents for effect and delivery of this toxic pollutant we have not been consulted but determines our quality of life.
For instance, this WHOLE cycle of weather this past month as been GEOENGINEERED to FIT A NARRATIVE… Hegelian dialectics… because the weather wasn’t previously cooperating …and they finally know how to use the technology without causing disastrous effects like flooding and extreme winds…
And… where does man get off get off sowing the wind? What is the result of that? Man plans… God laughs.
Oh… and where is the money coming from? Is this part of the blackops budget?
Glad to hear ! Can’t wait to catch the podcast. Something is happening in our skies and we need to find out ! We already know that our Government is far from transparent with “We the People” ! There are a few states that have banned geoengineering I sure would like to know if this isn’t happening as they say then how were they able to craft legislation against it?
Please make sure that the governor sees this podcast. He needs to be enlightened about geoengineering because when asked directly about it he avoided the subject and blamed the recent flooding on high emissions.
I’m really looking forward to listening about the whole history of geoengineering including who in our government green lighted this program, why, how long ago, for what purpose then and why still now!!! Was the purpose to just change the weather to say make fighting in Vietnam difficult because of the monsoon rains or not? Are there actual efforts to dim the sun right now??? Has anyone truly looking at the consequences of their actions???

One more reason to make sure Kennedy gets elected. There has NEVER before been a leader, probably anywhere in the world, who really understands environmental health (i.e., about toxins in the environment), at all, and especially as thoroughly as Kennedy. He is the founder of CHD (Children’s Health Defense), which is all about environmental health. Geoengineering is only one of the many issues they take on.
When you think about it, there is no other thing that is as important as the health of all living creatures on the planet, and that includes us. That is Kennedy’s main focus and the main reason (among many others, IMO) that he needs to be allowed to right this very wayward ship of state….
Finally some conversations about this subject, instead being called conspiracy . I have been taking photos for last couple years of the changes. We need to be testing our soil ,air quality and water consistently. Is Vermont going to take stand against this? Vermont has had largest increase in carbon omissions in last 5 years. There’s a whole picture that needs to be seen. There is a constant mist in air, silent planes dispersing clouds that never disappear.
Look up for once.
I would take Kennedy over Trump, just because Donald broke his promise to release the JFK files — but the Democrat party is so corrupt, I doubt that will ever be an option.

So we are admitting climate change. And we are saying humans are causing it. Sounds somewhat familiar.
Implying that humans have nothing to do with climate change, or that climate change doesn’t even really exist, is, IMO, just as bad as blaming everything on climate change and the presumption that it’s totally about excess carbon, and not looking at the whole picture of environmental degradation in so many areas of concern. Which is a very real, current, and dangerous situation that almost nobody is talking about. These 2 dueling extremes are an unnecessary polemic driven by political discourse. The truth is somewhere in between and gets ignored amid all the hype from both sides….
