The day after Squad member and Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-Westchester County) lost a primary to a pro-Israel centrist, despite vigorous campaigning by NYC native Sen. Bernie Sanders, VDC Social Media Director Paul Bean and I talked about why Bernie Sanders never will be, and never could have been, elected president.
This Tuesday night, June 25 news story in Politico tells what happened to Bowman:
“Rep. Jamaal Bowman was trounced in a suburban New York race that became a referendum on progressives’ attitudes toward Israel and the most expensive House primary in U.S. history. Moderate Democrat George Latimer bested Bowman on Tuesday by 17 points with 88 percent of the vote in, making Bowman the first member of the Squad to lose an election since the far-left group formed in 2018.”
Bernie campaigned visibly and hard for Bowman (see photo, released by Sanders staffers). The presence of a New York City native and most influential Jewish member of the Senate who isn’t named Chuck Schumer failed to bail out Bowman.
So why wasn’t Bernie enough?
Because – as Paul and I discuss in this rather casual Creemee Cast videoed Wednesday – Israel-savvy New York Jews have known for decades that Bernie is no true friend of Israel. That when it came time to pick sides, Bernie would stand in socialist solidarity with the Palestinians he considers the greater victims. So in an election where the existential threat to the survival of the State of Israel is a central issue, Bernie’s got no cred. In fact, he’s a political deb. Not a Debs (as in his socialist hero Eugene), just a deb (as in a debit).
I’m not Jewish, I don’t spend much time in New York, but I did have an enlightening conversation with a woman with a Star of David tat on her shoulder during our recent visit to Wells Beach in Maine. And – according to her, anyway – even the liberal, Sanders-admirers among the New York Jewish community know he’s weak on Israel. And thus, could never have been, should never be president. (We explain her reasoning in the video.)
Paul and I kick this issue around on the video – and we didn’t even get to how Bernie wants to give global organizations the power to tax, enforce public health, and exercise criminal justice on Americans and America. We’ll explore that in a future show.

Despite Bernie’s considerable political skills, his ideology and policies are bad for America.
He just needs to retire and be done with it.. This is insanity have these older then dirt politicians stay in office.. Never voted for him, never liked him, he’s a flat lander pretending to be a Vermonter. JMHO
Bernie’s ideology and policies might be bad for America, but they’re horrible for Vermont. Bernie is a communist–not a liberal, not a socialist, but a dyed in the wool communist. And when he’s failing to represent the people of Vermont, he carouses with twits like AOC and supports political bullies like Jamaal Bowman– make believe politicians and false fire alarmists. He’s bad, he’s horrible, he’s a (Fill in the blank)…
What hammas did in October was horrible. What Netanyahu is doing to the Palestinian people and children is reprehensible and many many jewish people and Isreal politicians do not agree with Netanyahu. One can be pro Palestinian and anti hamnas, while also respecting Isreal and Jewish people. Palestine has lost so much land , that was rightfully theirs, to isreal. The land was carved out and mapped back when the ottoman empire fell.. 1918? The land was like half and half. Now Palestine has no land, dead and starving children. Not liking what the Isreal politicians, Netanyahu are doing is not anti jew. If one does not like a US politician that happens to be Baptist it does not mean one is anti Baptist.
One factor that is missing in so very many discussions of the issue around the Palestinians is that the “resistance” has incessantly broken agreements and violently attacked Israel. Civilians have been murdered for abut 70 years. Initially the Soviet union instigated and funded the “resistance”.

The whole primary that Bowman lost is because the Commiecrat party is bleeding Jewish votes in greater numbers than they are losing Blacks. And they are losing millionaire and billionaire Jewish donors. Hillary gets involved to try to get back Jewish libs.
PS: Bernie is a Jew like Soros (the Nazi collaborator) is a Jew and like Joe who is a devout Catholic.
One must be pretty desperate if you need Socialist Sanders and AOC to help drag you over the finish line………….. but the outcome says it all.

Bernie is just trying to live by his oath of office (unlike so many others) and defend the Constitution. The First Amendment’s first 10 words say “”Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.” Israel is an establishment of religion – according to its own leaders, who say its existence is based on the Bible. That means it is ineligible for U.S. aid. It should get the same amount of such aid as is given to another nation-state based on religion. The Vatican gets zero – just what both it and Israel should get under the First Amendment.
Your logic is specious. Then no aid for any Middle Eastern countries? Israel is not a theocracy. The Muslim countries are.
Word has it that AIPAC is targetting selected candidates with copious amounts of cash to their challengers. Word has it they own many seats, from top to bottom. Bernie may be walking the fine line saying one thing, but voting to the contrary or else. Since October 2023, the territory battle for power and control is on our soil just the same – it is just as bloody and destructive as the one unfolding with bombs and soldiers many miles away from here. The war machine cares not about lives, it’s about control and power over territory and the residents existing within it.
In some cases it is about self defense.
Don’t worrie about ole’ Mittens. He’s just doing his assigned job (like soros) of playing bad hamas cop.
Looking forwards to more Christian content on this site! How about the demise of Euro-Christian nations by planned importation of other ethnic groups into their countries?
Or perhaps the corresponding demise in the American value system with the demise in the American-Christian nation state. Vermont would serve as an excellent example!
