Marvin Byrd, 29, of Hartford, CT was sentenced to 3 years in prison on November 8 for fentanyl trafficking from March to August 2023.
Byrd went under the alias “TJ” during his operations. He orchestrated the use of multiple residences in Orleans County to collect, process, and distribute drugs.
Undercover police purchased drugs from Byrd on numerous occasions, including the purchase of fentanyl.
Byrd was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge Christina Reiss to 35 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
Byrd is just one among many drug traffickers who have found a home in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, where drug sales have spiked over the past 5 years.

One of the detainees, Hauser, is a convicted felon who is currently on probation for heroin and cocaine trafficking. He was subsequently arrested and taken to Vermont State Police-Bradford Outpost.

ANY PERSON WITH PRIOR CONVICTIONS, AND SUBSEQUENTLY ARRESTED FOR THE SAME OFFENSE SHOULD NEVER BE RELEASED, NO BAIL? isn’t this the definition of insanity by the prosecutor?

“He orchestrated the use of numerous residences…” I love it. Peppy composition.
Just another day at the Vermont zoo.
NEK, and esp Newport, is becoming a half sh*thole and half millionaire residence. Mostly with Bernie signs all around the lake.
No matter where I move, y’all. This crap is infiltrating civilization everywhere.
I’ve gone from the inner-city of a port town in NJ to the suburbs.
That lasted 10 years.
Had to go out of state, to a nice Southern town.
They turned blue three years later.
I come up here to the sub-zero boonies.
Now this place is a drug-infested scraphole full of unemployable SNAP users.
Every adult that walks the street during normal working hours needs to be picked up and questioned about WTF they are even doing walking around and not working.
And if they cannot show proof of employment or that they have been actively searching, they need to be placed in an institution that either teaches them how to fix something or clean something or push a broom around, and be supervised by real communists who won’t take any BS from them. Not these mamby-pamby “progressives” who themselves are lazy lackluster brain maggots grifting off taxpayers.
Geez, just the other day, someone opened a “jewelry store” downtown that looks like a pawn shop full of stolen watches, and our kooky leadership here praised them to high heaven. We still have the “hole” full of trees and busted concrete on Main St. And the town allowed one of their “artistes” to load an entire abandoned storefront with “art” so that no one sees what’s going on inside. What on earth is happening? Why are we tolerating, and even celebrating, junk? I hardly see anyone standing upright, walking without a waddle, and looking clean-cut and not disheveled.
It seems I might need to move to Hungary, if only I were at least 10 years younger.
I’m running out of places to live like a decent citizen.
You’ll be surprised at how many watches they sell from 10pm to 3am in the morning…..we saw this at an antique store in downtown Burlington, years ago, amazing how many people deal in antiques and watches late night.
When drug dealers are labeled domestic terrorist…things are going to change and quick.
