University of Vermont President Marlene Tromp silent on dorm squalor while she lives with her entire family in ‘free’ campus housing.

While UVM’s president has a free pass to move her entire family and ex-husband into a millionaire paid-for mansion, students in the dorms are dealing with leaking roofs and broken pipes as well as dangerous unhealthy mold.
Marlene Tromp lives in the university’s presidential mansion with her adult son, her adult sister and her former husband.
Tromp goes all over campus making small talk with anybody and everybody but there’s one thing she won’t discuss – her glitzy living arrangements.
A letter to a weekly paper questioning Tromp’s ‘free’ family public housing prompted cries of unfair treatment from her fam club aka fan club.
How dare anyone question her living in palatial elegance while students in the dorms are paying an arm and a leg to live in squalor.
Students can’t get an answer from UVM administration as to why the dorms are in such poor condition.
But that same administration is just fine thank you letting Tromp live high off the hog on campus in Englesby House with her entire family and ex-husband.
Tromp, 59, was vaguely described by the latest edition of the school’s alumni magazine as cohabiting in her fancy digs “with her adult son and other family members.”
The maggie is afraid to get any more specific lest anyone compare her luxurious living conditions to the students living in expensive UVM-run cold-water flats.
The members of the administration aren’t the only ones keeping wraps on the scandal.
The UVM student newspaper, The Cynic, won’t touch the subject.
The question is: Why?

If these dorms are so bad, why did the last UVM president do anything, or the one before that.
The house is there for her use. A former UVM president was roundly criticized because he wanted to live off campus in a house on the lake, with his quirky, big-hat-wearing wife while the official president’s house sat mostly empty. What difference does it make whether she lives with that odd assortment of extended family there or if she had a husband and 5 kids with her? If she really wanted to make waves, she would go down to City Hall Park and invite a handful of street people to come live there for a month on a rotating basis. The real question is whether she will be an asset to the university. As a formerly-married-to-a-man white woman, she really doesn’t have any diversity/victimhood boxes to check, so she fails in that attribute, so tries to make up for that with the “dykie” hairstyle and glasses. Seems petty to pick on her choice of housemates. Trump is bringing us back to a merit-based society, so let’s give Tromp a chance to “make UVM great again”.

The smell of Epstein is still in the air. We have many things to keep us distracted.
Having been to uvm and lived in many of the dorms there was no issue back in 1986, if you can destroy a concrete block room you are in serious trouble. Since then the building of luxury housing and lecture halls has been rather lavish to say the very least. Just walk around on campus and talk to me about all the run-down buildings, it’s perhaps the densest area of extravagant buildings in the entire state. How many lies can we possibly spread and believe on a daily basis, I guess quite a few. Did they say you couldn’t have extended family or friends living with you?
No more indestructible cinderblock dorms being built. Sheetrock and dorm life are not compatible. The cited problems with plumbing, weather leaks, mold etc are due to a shortage of skilled people who are willing to work, and there is a lot of that going around in the post-COVID work ethic deficiency, brought to us by (mostly) democrats throwing too much public money around.
