The incident occurred on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, as voters waited in line to cast on-demand mail-in ballots at the Voter Service Center at the Government Center Building in Media, Pennsylvania. 519 voters receive wrong ballots in Stonington, CT, in early voting glitch | 28 Oct 2024 | On the second day of early voting last week, as many as 519 voters received the wrong ballots in Stonington, Connecticut, where voters from two different state House districts use the same early polling place, Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas said Monday. “The registrar was able to determine that one of the poll workers handed out the wrong ballot, so she very quickly and smartly sequestered those ballots,” Thomas said. “And because early voted ballots are under seal and someone has signed them, they are contacting those voters and giving them an opportunity to come back and recast their ballot.” Registrar of Voters Elissa Bass said 519 ballots were cast that day, but she believes only a few were given the one wrong one.
Oregon authorities confirm fires at ballot boxes in Washington and Portland are connected | 28 Oct 2024 | Authorities in Portland, Oregon, on Monday said they have identified a “suspect vehicle” that is connected to two fires that were set in ballot boxes in Portland and Vancouver, Washington, Monday morning. One fire was set by incendiary devices at ballot boxes in Portland at 3:30 a.m. local time… The fire was extinguished by the time law enforcement showed up, but three ballots were damaged by the blaze. Approximately two hours later, another fire broke out in Vancouver, which was also set by an incendiary device on the outside of the box. The second fire destroyed hundreds of ballots. Police officials said that material from both incendiary devices showed that the attacks were connected. They were also connected to another fire in Vancouver, Washington, at a ballot box on Oct. 8.
26 Republican attorneys general join Virginia in petitioning Supreme Court to rule on allowing non-citizens to vote | 28 Oct 2024 | Twenty-six Republican attorneys general joined Virginia on Monday in urging the Supreme Court to halt a lower court decision that restored the voting rights of 1,600 [illegal] residents. The amicus brief backs Virginia’s contention that the ruling is overly broad and lacks standing under a provision of the National Voter Registration Act (NRVA), which orders states to halt all “systematic” voter roll maintenance 90 days before an election. It now has the support of every Republican-led U.S. state, giving it outsize attention in the final stretch before the election. In the amicus brief, attorneys general urged the court to grant Virginia’s emergency motion and “restore the status quo,” noting that doing so “would comply with the law and enable Virginia to ensure that noncitizens do not vote in the upcoming election.”

He doesn’t give a d-mn about the Latino community,” Biden said, according to an NBC reporter. “Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage.” “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said.
McConnell says calling Trump fascist encourages another assassin to ‘finish the job’ | 25 Oct 2024 | Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday warned that Kamala Harris is “inviting” another assassination attempt against Donald Trump by calling him a fascist. “The man who was caught waiting in ambush in Florida left others with a chilling call to arms: ‘It is up to you now to finish the job.’ Labeling a political opponent as a ‘fascist,’ risks inviting yet another would-be assassin to try robbing voters of their choice before Election Day,” the Republicans wrote in a joint statement. “Vice President [sic] Harris may want the American people to entrust her with the sacred duty of executive authority. But first, she must abandon the base and rhetoric that endangers both American lives and institutions.”
Trump assassination attempt: Secret Service knew airspace protection would end with former president onstage –Former president protected by presidential TFR for only about 15 minutes while onstage on July 13 | 24 Oct 2024 | Through public records, interview transcripts and a Senate panel investigating the July 13 security failure, Fox News Digital has learned that the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) knew former President Trump would be onstage at the open-air rally after the Federal Aviation Administration’s temporary flight restriction (TFR) expired. An agent testified before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that they warned a superior in advance but did not receive the requested security extension, citing previous instances when the former president remained at a rally after the restrictions expired. The FAA typically issues TFRs for things like natural disasters, professional sporting events, and presidential movements. No aircraft, including civilian drones, are permitted to fly when a TFR is in place.

Sen. J.D. Vance, Dr. Phil, Hulk Hogan, Dana White, Tucker Carlson and members of the Trump family addressed the 20,000 capacity arena and railed against Kamala Harris’s polices. Trump makes light of Eric Adams’s indictment at MSG rally: ‘They upgraded his seat in an airplane. That’s a very serious charge’ | 27 Oct 2024 | Former President Donald Trump made light of the federal charges against Eric Adams and suggested the New York City mayor was targeted for political reasons during his huge MAGA rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Trump claimed to nearly 20,000 supporters that Adams “has been treated pretty badly” because Hizzoner spoke out about the migrant crisis that has engulfed the Big Apple for much of his tenure. “You know, when he said that this whole thing with the migrants coming into New York, this is just not sustainable. You know, we can’t do it. We’re trying to run a city, we got 100,000 migrants coming.” Trump said. “We can’t do it, we just can’t do it, it’s not feasible, it’s not good.” “He said it very nicely,” Trump continued. “I said, ‘well, he’s going to be indicted by these lunatics for saying that.’ A year later, he got indicted.”
Fetterman calls Trump’s support in Pennsylvania ‘astonishing’: ‘You can see the intensity’ | 26 Oct 2024 | Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman opened up about the state of the presidential race in his key battleground state and called former President Trump’s support there “astonishing” while predicting that Elon Musk’s endorsement is “going to really matter.” “There’s a difference between not understanding, but also acknowledging that it exists,” Fetterman told the New York Times in an interview published Saturday morning when asked about enthusiasm for Trump in Pennsylvania. “And anybody who spends time driving around, and you can see the intensity. It’s astonishing.” Fetterman continued, “I was doing an event in Indiana County. Very, very red. And there was a superstore of Trump stuff, and it was a hundred feet long. [There were] dozens of T-shirts and hats and bumper stickers and all kinds of, I mean, it’s like, Where does this all come from? It’s the kind of thing that has taken on its own life. And it’s like something very special exists there. And that doesn’t mean that I admire it. It’s just – it’s real.”

Vance has said. The senator from Ohio was asked during his appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday whether he saw the Russian leader “as an ally or an enemy.” Putin is “clearly an adversary, he is a competitor,” but Washington needs to be “smart about diplomacy too,” Vance responded. “Just because we don’t like somebody doesn’t mean that we can’t occasionally engage in conversations with them,” he suggested. Host Kristen Welker pushed him further on whether he would directly refer to Putin as an enemy. “We are not at war with him. And I don’t want to be at war with Vladimir Putin’s Russia,” the senator said. “I think that we should try to pursue avenues of peace.”

Several pro-Western opposition forces, including the Unity-National Movement (UNM) and ‘Coalition for Change’ announced on the same day that they would not be joining the new parliament as they did not recognize the vote results either.
Georgia’s pro-Western opposition – which got only 10% of the vote – refuses to accept election defeat | 27 Oct 2024 | Leaders of several opposition parties in Georgia have said they will not recognize the results of the weekend’s national parliamentary vote. Georgian Dream party chairman Mamuka Mdinaradze has claimed the party is likely to win at least 90 of the national chamber’s 150 seats, up from the 74 it won in the last election. The party will then be able to form the next government since a simple 76-strong majority is needed in Georgia to pick the next prime minister and cabinet. Tina Bokuchava, who heads the pro-Western Unity-National Movement (UNM) [CIA-backed] party, has accused the nation’s central election committee of doing Georgian Dream’s bidding and of “stealing the European future” of Georgia. Lassa fever suspected in death of Iowa resident who traveled to West Africa –The CDC is assisting Iowa health officials to identify people who had contact with the patient after symptoms began. | 28 Oct 2024 | Health officials are investigating the death Monday of an Iowa resident as a suspected case of Lassa fever, a frightening viral disease rarely seen in the U.S., health officials said. The patient returned to the U.S. from West Africa early this month. The person was not sick while traveling, so the risk to fellow airline passengers is “extremely low,” officials with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. The virus is not spread by casual contact and patients are not believed to be infectious before symptoms occur. The patient had been hospitalized in isolation at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center. Testing by the Nebraska Laboratory Response Network early Monday showed that the patient was presumptively positive for Lassa fever.
