French presidential hopeful Marine Le Pen sentenced to jail –A Paris court has barred the right-wing politician from taking part in the 2027 election | 31 March 2025 | French and foreign politicians are reacting to sentences handed down on Monday by a Paris court in a case against the right-wing National Rally party (RN) and several of its most prominent figures, including Marine Le Pen, the party’s former leader who currently heads its parliamentary faction. Le Pen and others have been convicted of embezzling EU funds intended for political assistants and face a variety of sentences, including a five-year ban on seeking public office and two years of house arrest. Several other defendants have also been sentenced to prison terms of various lengths. RN is the single largest party in the French parliament and the sentencing has sent a shockwave through the country’s and wider European politics.
Populist Marine Le Pen Banned From Running in French Presidential Election by Court –Even if Le Pen were to appeal the decision, the ban would remain in place during the appeal process. | 31 March 2025 | A Paris court ruled Monday that National Rally leader Marine Le Pen will be ineligible to run for public office for five years, likely including in the upcoming presidential race, after being found guilty of embezzlement of European Union funds. A “political death sentence” has been handed out to three-time presidential candidate and current frontrunner in the race to replace President Emmanuel Macron in 2027, Marine Le Pen. Le Figaro reports that she was sentenced to four years imprisonment, which will likely be served on probation with an electronic tag rather than in jail, a fine of 100,000 euros, and five years of ineligibility from running for public office. Speaking last week ahead of the ruling, the National Rally leader said: “I consider myself completely innocent of the facts with which I am accused. Therefore, if my guilt is pronounced, I will use the rule of law to be able to defend my innocence again.”

Canada’s new prime minister rocked by plagiarism scandal weeks before election –Carney, an open critic of President Trump, is up for election April 28 | 29 March 2025 | Canadian Prime Minister [globalist dirt-bag] Mark Carney is facing allegations that he copied parts of his 1995 doctoral thesis at Oxford University without proper credit. The report comes as he’s seeking election to remain the country’s PM next month, when Canadian voters head to the polls on April 28. The National Post reviewed Carney’s thesis, “The Dynamic Advantage of Competition,” with three university experts, who found at least 10 instances of apparent plagiarism. The experts told the National Post that Carney copied full quotes, paraphrased ideas, and slightly modified sentences from four different sources without giving proper credit. “He’s just directly repeating without quotations. That’s plagiarism,” said Geoffrey Sigalet, a professor at the University of British Columbia who helps handle academic misconduct cases, told the National Post.

The diktat followed U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s announcement about the revocation of several international students’ visas for so-called anti-national activities.
Amsterdam stabbing suspect is Ukrainian citizen – police | 29 March 2025 | Dutch police have revealed the identity of the suspect who seriously injured five people with knives in Amsterdam. Local media reported on Friday, citing security sources, that the suspect is 30-year-old Ukraininan citizen Roman D. He is originally from Donetsk Region — a former part of Ukraine that voted to join Russia in 2022. On Thursday, five people were stabbed in the Dutch capital, when a man armed with several knives attacked passers-by in the historic city center. The suspect was stopped by an unnamed tourist, reportedly from the UK, who chased the man and restrained him. According to De Telegraaf, the presumed attacker had false identity papers and refused to give his real personal details.

Police closed off the area, which was tended to by emergency crews who responded in ambulances and a trauma helicopter. In a statement, authorities said the motive for the attack had not been established, though police were investigating a situation where the suspect randomly targeted victims.

Headquarters of New Mexico Republican Party Targeted in ‘Deliberate Act of Arson’ | 30 March 2025 | The headquarters for the Republican Party in New Mexico was targeted Sunday in what is being called “a deliberate act of arson,” leaving the entryway to the building destroyed. In a post on X, the Republican Party of New Mexico revealed the damage to the state’s GOP headquarters in Albuquerque also included the words “ICE=KKK” spray painted on a wall of the building. The attack was described as “fueled by hatred and intolerance.” “Early this morning, the entryway of the Republican Party of New Mexico’s headquarters in Albuquerque was destroyed in a deliberate act of arson which also included spray painting the words ‘ICE=KK,'” the post read. “This horrific attack, fueled by hatred and intolerance, is a direct assault on our values, freedoms, and our right to political expression.”
Suspect arrested in Molotov attack on Vegas Tesla dealership that had ‘the hallmarks of terrorism’ | 27 March 2025 | A Las Vegas anti-Israel activist has been charged with torching a row of Teslas with Molotov cocktails in a frightening attack caught on camera. Idaho Governor vetoes Medical Freedom Act | 28 March 2025 | Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) vetoed legislation Saturday that would have prohibited schools from mandating certain medical interventions. Senate Bill 1023, the so-called “Idaho Medical Freedom Act,” sought to broaden existing COVID-19 vaccine restrictions to cover all medical interventions. The legislation would have prohibited schools from requiring medical intervention for attendance or employment. It would also have prevented businesses and government entities from imposing medical mandates as a condition of service or employment. The bill was delivered to the governor on March 24 and vetoed five days later. Lawmakers could attempt to override the veto next week [which hopefully happens].
Utah Becomes First State to Ban Fluoride in Public Drinking Water | 28 March 2025 | Utah became the first state to ban the addition of fluoride to public drinking water after Gov. Spencer Cox signed the law late Thursday night. The ban will take effect on May 7. Rep. Stephanie Gricius, who sponsored the bill, said in an email to The Defender that she was thrilled the governor signed it. The new law bans water fluoridation, but also gives pharmacists new authority to prescribe fluoride supplement pills. Typically, such pills can be prescribed only by a dentist or physician. “What Utah has accomplished is historic, a huge step forward,” said Rick North, board member of the Fluoride Action Network (FAN), which won a landmark ruling in a lawsuit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the agency’s failure to appropriately regulate the chemical.

RCV is an election process whereby if no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, then a runoff system is triggered. When voters cast their ballots, they rank each candidate in order of first-to-last… The movement to ban RCV began in Florida and Tennessee in 2022, followed by Idaho, Montana and South Dakota in 2023, then Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma last year. Last year ballot measures to implement RCV were largely defeated.
