Montpelier police arrested two people early Friday morning after an overnight burglary at a River Street business, while Vermont State Police reported multiple DUI and domestic assault cases across the state in recent days.
Montpelier Police Department officers responded shortly after midnight Jan. 2, to a burglar alarm at the Tractor Supply store on River Street/U.S. Route 302, where they found signs of forced entry and encountered two suspects exiting the building. Andre Ratcliff, 32, and Amy Dike, 42, both listed as transient and formerly of Burlington, were taken into custody without incident and found in possession of a large quantity of stolen merchandise and burglary tools, police said.
Ratcliff was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail, and Dike was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $12,500 bail, pending arraignment in Washington County Superior Court. Both are expected to face multiple charges including burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, unlawful mischief and retail theft.

Statewide, police report the following domestic assault and DUI arrests:
- Waterbury: Michael McNamara, 42, and Emma Ravelin, 21, both of Waterbury, were cited for domestic assault after troopers responded to a reported family disturbance at Orchard Springs Estates on Dec. 29; both were scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court on Dec. 30.
- Putney: Anna Darrow, 46, of Rockingham, was arrested for domestic assault following a reported incident on West Hill on Jan. 1, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Windham County Superior Court on Jan. 2.
- Huntington: Brandan Bates, 33, of Huntington, was arrested for DUI after troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Main Road early Jan. 1, and is due in Chittenden County Superior Court on Jan. 22.
- Marshfield: Kevin Hudson, 54, of Peacham, was arrested for DUI refusal after troopers observed signs of impairment outside the Marshfield Town Clerk’s Office on Dec. 30; he is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court on Jan. 15.
- Hartland: Natalie Stack, 24, of Springfield, was arrested for DUI following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 southbound near mile marker 61 on Dec. 29, during snowy and icy conditions; she is due in Windsor County Superior Court on Jan. 13.
- Groton: Brigette Elliott, 37, listed as transient, was arrested for DUI and driving with a criminally suspended license after troopers found a vehicle off the roadway on U.S. Route 302 on Dec. 29; she is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Jan. 19.
- St. Johnsbury: Judith Bailey, 66, of Danville, was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop on Route 2 on Dec. 30, and is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Jan. 19.
- Lyndon: Sebastian Biela, 34, of Swampscott, Massachusetts, was arrested for DUI after troopers observed erratic driving on Interstate 91 northbound near mile marker 135 on Jan. 1; he is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Jan. 12.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Court dates and times are subject to change.
