Burlington cops say man beat his girlfriend unconscious

Burlington police are seeking a Maine man who they suspect beat his girlfriend into unconsciousness.

Tuesday, December 26 at 10 PM, Burlington Police Department dispatchers received a 911 call from a victim reporting that she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. The victim stated she was hurt and bleeding.

She identified her attacker as her boyfriend, Matthew Ayotte, age 45, Burlington police say. She was evaluated by the Burlington Fire Department and then transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center’s Emergency Department (UVMMC) for medical treatment of the injuries she received in the assault which caused her to lose consciousness.

BPD says Ayotte has no ties to the community and travels back and forth by bus from Burlington to Maine where he is believed to live. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Burlington Police Department at 658-2704.

  1. Yes, I happen to know all about him – he’s a cowardly & amoral common criminal who likely uses pronouns “simp” and “loser”.

  2. What’s that scrawny, stoned looking, poor excuse for a man wearing around his neck?
