AA arrests at all-time high in Queen City

A suspects apprehended in connection with a City Hall Park assault and robbery has been apprehended and found to have missed eight court dates.

Early after midnight, Aug. 8, there was an assault and robbery reported by the Burlington Police Department. At about 12:40 am, officers saw a person approach them about the theft of a motorbike at City Hall Park.

The report states, “Investigation revealed an individual was approached by three male suspects, who assaulted the victim and stole the victim’s motorbike. Officers located the suspects and were able to detain the one suspect with the motorbike – the other suspects fled.”

The suspect they caught was Aldwayne Gadson, 50, of Burlington. He is being charged with “Accessory to Assault and Robbery” and he was taken to the Northwest State Correctional Facility and held with a $500 bail. The other suspects remain unidentified.

The report also details that Gadson had a history of not showing up for court many times. It states, “A review of Gadson’s criminal history shows 8 failures to appear and 1 misdemeanor charge with 1 misdemeanor conviction.”Gadson has a history in crime headlines as well.  A WCAX report from April 12 regarding

a drug raid at an Old North End apartment complex stated that “evidence of drug distribution and a firearm were seized and that Aldwayne Gadson, 49, of Burlington, was taken into custody for multiple outstanding warrants.”

This latest development comes at a time when Chittenden County’s Federal Prosecutor Sarag George has been under pressure for not being tough enough on repeat offenders.

The July Chief’s report revealed aggravated assaults are at an all-time high for this point in the year, with 37 such incidents which ties the previous high in 2022.

Anyone who can help the  Burlington Police Department with this case can call 802 658-2704.

  1. He’d missed eight court dates and no one had thought to go looking for him at any point prior to this one ?

  2. When did Chittenden County’s Federal Prosecutor Sarag (I assume they meant Sarah) George, Get promoted to a Federal Prosecutor??

  3. He was likely just busy committing other drug offenses & violent assaults at the time. Give the guy a break, after all he’s the true victim. Geesh………..

  4. Why are we hearing about all this criminal activity? CNN, MSNBC, Public Radio, Public TV, CBS, NBC, ABC, and the New York Times all are reporting that crime is DOWN.

    • I can see the smile on your face as you as you jotted that punch line down Rich ! Have you ever thought about a career in stand up comedy ? 🙂

  5. crime is down//// keep watching tel. //// lie./// vision./// and your local mafia media/// every night animal stories and the weather//// remember, they took all the covid kill shot bribes from big drug corporations/// crime is big business, and look who makes all the money///

  6. More news on the interior workings from the ” cesspool ” known as Burlington, apparently another fine citizen roaming the streets doing what they do knowing there will be no real ramifications for his deeds !!

He’ll be back out and about

  7. Unconfirmed stats: Sarah George’s salary is $132,798 w/o benefits? John Campell $131,220.00. Charity Clark, $145,579. Governor Scott, $208,995.00. Of course, these figures would be reported “on the books.” All the stipends, kickbacks, gifting, grifting, and stock options not included.

So, as they sit upon their perches, lying through their teeth, collecting our taxes to live rather comfortable, unbothered lives….we get to watch our communities implode into barely controlled chaos and mayhem. Don’t you feel good about going to work to fund and support your destiny of insolvency and delusions of a comfortable retirement?
