LYNDON — Vermont State Police located a stolen white pickup truck at Cumberland Farms after receiving alerts about a vehicle speeding through downtown Saint Johnsbury on April 21 at approximately 10:07 p.m.
Troopers from the Saint Johnsbury Barracks were initially advised to be on the lookout for a white pickup truck with ladders mounted to the roof rack that was observed traveling at high speed and ignoring traffic signals.

Shortly after the initial alert, Vermont State Police dispatch received information from New Hampshire law enforcement that a vehicle matching the same description had been stolen from an AppleBees restaurant in Grafton County.
The vehicle was discovered unoccupied in the Cumberland Farms parking lot in Lyndon.
Investigation determined that Robert Keenan, 21, of Concord, had taken the vehicle in New Hampshire and driven it to St. Johnsbury before abandoning it at Cumberland Farms.
Keenan was located on April 22 with assistance from St. Johnsbury Police Department.
He was cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on June 2 at 8:30 a.m. on charges of operating without owner’s consent, negligent operation, and possession of stolen property.
The vehicle belongs to Kevin Freeman, 21, of Barnet.
Police seek man who grabbed child at Orleans playground
Vermont State Police are investigating an incident where a 10-year-old boy was allegedly grabbed by the arm by an adult man at a School Street playground in Orleans.
The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. Sunday in the village’s downtown area, according to police.
Authorities described the suspect as a white man, approximately 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, with a thin build, wearing a dark blue long-sleeve T-shirt.
The man’s age is unknown.
Troopers from the Derby Barracks canvassed the area and interviewed bystanders but were unable to locate anyone matching the description.
