The Barry T. Chouinard Memorial Northfield Labor Day Motor Show is set to take place on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at 470 North Main St., Northfield, VT 05663 at Bean’s Creemees and Snack Shack!

Suggested (but not required) donation of $15 per car to be donated to the Veteran’s Place in Northfield!

Join us for an evening of live music, local craft beer, and vibrant celebration, honoring the legacy of Barry T. Chouinard: 

Barry T. Chouinard, born July 19, 1951, in Peterborough, New Hampshire, moved to Northfield, Vermont, in 1975, where he founded Comfort Colors, a textile business renowned for its high-quality garment-dyed T-shirts and sweatshirts, which he successfully ran until selling it to Gildan Activewear in 2015. 

Known for his kindness, compassion, and entrepreneurial spirit, Chouinard was a generous community member who supported youth, high school, and adult sports, and was actively involved in local organizations like The Saint John’s Church, Sons of The American Legion, and the Elks. His legacy is honored through events like the Barry T. Chouinard Memorial Northfield Labor Day Motor Show and the Barry Chouinard Memorial Golf Classic, which funds scholarships for Northfield High School seniors. 

Chouinard, who passed away on October 30, 2016, left behind a lasting impact through his business achievements, community contributions, and the fond memories of his vibrant personality, often celebrated as “Dr. Neon.”

This year, attendees will enjoy a live performance by acclaimed musician Zach Nugent, Good Measure Pub & Brewery will serve a selection of their finest craft beers, adding to the festive atmosphere.

And of course Bean’s will be serving up Burgers, Dawgs, Creemees, and a variety of drinks!
