Vermont Attorney General Charity Clark July 11 announced what she termed a major legal victory Friday in a multistate lawsuit to prevent the distribution of machine gun conversion devices, also known as Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs), within the state.

The action comes after Clark and attorneys general from 15 other jurisdictions sued the Trump Administration and gun component manufacturer Rare Breed Triggers over plans to return and distribute thousands of FRTs—devices the AG says increase a firearm’s rate of fire and have been linked to violent crimes and mass shootings.
According to FRTTrigger.com, gun rights advocates claim that FRTs are technological innovations that comply with existing laws. They argue that redefining the term “machine gun” in a way that includes FRTs undermines the balanced legal framework governing firearm ownership.https://allfrttriggers.com/legal-status-of-forced-reset-trigges/
In court filings submitted in the ongoing litigation, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) confirmed that it would not return the contested devices to individuals or dealers in Vermont or any of the plaintiff states. Rare Breed Triggers also affirmed in writing that it would no longer sell FRTs in those states. – More information soon in the Vermont Daily Chronicle

What color hats will we have to wear to own a gum? Will they be considering when to turn-ourselves-around before we hoky-poky?
Soon enough we’ll have to turn ourselves in for just thinking about buying a firearm. The communist left and the fascist right see only good outcomes for themselves. Us, not so much. The Govt. can create legislation & edicts like this because they know, regardless of their lack of authority, that it will take years and millions to fight it in the courts.
From someone and the Party that purports to support “Democracy” feeling a regulation is needed to impart their opinion because to put it through the Legislative process may result in that process not complying with King AG wishes or the fear the Executive may Veto really screams ‘Democracy’ doesn’t it !
Last I knew the definition of a machine gun hasn’t changed. Even with these FRT’s you still have one round per trigger pull. Many semi-auto pistols come from the manufacturer with trigger reset, enabling faster fire. If you hear the term “double tap” a trigger reset is generally used for that. They’ve been around for decades leading me to believe that ou AG has no idea of what she is talking about.
Correct me if I am wrong but these FRT’s do not allow more than one round fired with one trigger pull.
So one State politician can dictate what pieces of metal that we buy, thought the Dems in Montpelier and DC said they did not want any Kings!! Sounds like Clark the King !!
Linked to exactly what mass shooting? lol
To little to late ….. many ways to still obtain them if you haven’t gotten them already ….. Molon Labe
Hey Charity – I have a dozen of these triggers somewhere on the 2500 acres behind my house.
Just like the thousands of standard capacity (left wing high capacity) magazines that are all over Vermont. An unconstitutional law struck down in the Bruin supreme court decision. The Vermont supreme court ruled against that decision citing the community safety test which was also struck down by Bruin but they knew that a lawsuit would have to be challenged for their decision to be struck down. This is how blue states and judges get around the supreme court that moves as quick as a snail. For the left, their kings are the courts and the judicial system is their hammer. There should be penalties for courts that violate supreme court decisions and those who violate their oaths to defend the constitution as in the bill of rights.
Where is her Constitutional authority to do this. What law was passed and signed to do this? More of Vermont’s À La Carte Constitution.
If no law was passed what prevents us from buying all of those triggers we want?
Once again our AG Clark shows her overwhelming ignorance. With just a little investigation, she would learn that the FRT doesn’t make a gun automatic. FRT Operation: An FRT works by using the firearm’s recoil to mechanically reset the trigger after a shot is fired, preparing the weapon for the next round without the shooter manually releasing the trigger. However, for each subsequent shot, the shooter must still pull the trigger again. THIS DOES NOT (Let me say it again) DOES NOT make the gun automatic ❗
This is how a semi-automatic gun works . You must pull the trigger for each round.
I wonder why weather weapons aren’t being discussed in public yet?
It’s not like we don’t know they exist, or that they have been in use for decades.
This trigger thing, seems small in comparison to the devastation caused by atmospheric triggers like heavy metals, chemicals and magnetic pulsing or direct energy.
Weather warfare is real, and its triggers are far more devastating.
Get real, go after something that matters!
